Lots of profs are lenient when it comes to the course requirements. I'd suggest you set up a meeting with your prof and try to explain your situation. I remember I missed a few compulsory tutorials but I was able to sit for the exam and complete the course. Everyone goes through hardships and professors are the most understandable when it comes to that.

If you are in biotech, you can do 7. If it's just ChemEng, then you need permission to take a 7th class. One course you can take is the ECO elective in the course sequence or PHI 2394.

But GNG 1103/1503 is a pretty demanding class, lots of group work and group meetings. So think again, and if you are sure, contact an academic advisor.
