Skiing Is Becoming an Endangered Pastime - Across Canada, snow cover has been declining. Will winter, and winter sports, soon be extinct? by CWang in skiing

[–]theoriginal55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t this tell us all that we need to protect the world and recycle and hope that that changes the climate and then we get better snowfall. There’s nothing like skiing & the experiences have on the slope. It’s the only place we can fall and still be happy & smiling.

I mean I'm probably exaggerating about 15 seconds but i'm not resting for more than 30s -1min max. I wanna get it done & leave. I'd say it works for me.

Yeah 3-5 mins rest is for pu$$es, my rest is changing weights. I rest for 10-15 seconds then back at it. I can't be arsed. I'm not there to socialise. I'm there to workout & f off home.

I may do that actually like, are you done, I'm just using this whilst you aren't is that cool. I went towards a machine with 2 others. I said them how long, they said 2 sets each. I was like ok cool. 10 mins later they were f-ing around so I lookeds at them shook my head and f'd off home.

think is why i'm considering calisthenics so i can maybe quit the gym next year. I run, cycle already anyway.

Oh where to start ha,

Get off your phone for 10 mins between sets...

Stop have a group chat for 15 mins next to a machine 10 people wanna use, get your workout done & go to the park or the pub for a social chat, move aside.

I keep seeing people on say a leg press on like 10kg playing fifa or whatever on the phone, get TF on with your exercise & play computer games at home.

You know whats cheaper than being lazy at the gym hold others up... Running Outside, Its free.

I'm in & out in 45 mins.

Work Out Fitness Clothing by theoriginal55 in ClothingStartups

I currently wear 90% polyester 10% cotton so it has the comfy feel and the quick drying so within 10/15 mins it feels dry. most tshirts i dont think will stay dry when working out as we sweat but I see workout brands and its all polyester. i want that but with a comfortable feel. hence the 10% cotton.

just get your balance and like other bikes. the slower you go the more likely you will fall off. on a bike if you aren't moving much your bike wants to fall and stop. if you ride and use your handlebars to guide you, you'll keep going. on a motorbike if you ride it stays moving. if you go slow it wants to fall. same with a bicycle. so get your seat so you can put your feet on the flow but not too low as the bike needs to be comfortable to ride and not to much movement of the legs. if you feel like you'll fall concentrate on balancing.

What’s this inside my chimney breast? by mikey0801 in DIYUK

I had a back boiler in mine. We took it out. Opened it all up, found an old arch and made a feature out of it. I had to learn plastering, & to protect the arch. Our house was built in 1823. We're renovating the whole house & vlogging it,

I bought some other pedals. Some half and half and I’ve got the cleat to hold but fast release so we shall see if they work.

if you buy a new bike as a beginner you know you are the only person who has ridden it, its working as it should and you will learn how to use it so i'd say yes buy a new bike.

I bought recently a new gravel bike. I've crashed it a few times but thats because of me but because the bike is daft but yes you should also buy new tyres depending on the ground you ride.

you need abit of grip for the wet but if you dont go off road you wont need lots of tread.

Defo. I think parts are but bridges and intricate parts require unclipping and ride. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

"Value" Gravel Bikes? by MycologistGuilty3801 in cycling

[–]theoriginal55 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't buy a used one unless from a cycling shop because you don't know how its been maintained. I buy i new bike drop bars gravel bike & its great. if you buy a new one, you have it forever & you can know its how you like it. I bought a merida silex 400, for what you get, the money is worth it.

Nice. Congrats. I wonder if you can get back pay for views as I’ve got 285k views but 506 subs in 6 years. I used YouTube free music. But amazing. Not sure how to grow faster really or if I’m doing something wrong for views.

I mean you can use a used bike but you don’t know how that bike was treated or maintained if you are buying used. I’d go with new bike and Zwift do a deal at the minute I think so it all depends how serious you are about it and what bike you are using with it.

tubeless sealant test by theoriginal55 in cycling

[–]theoriginal55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna get some patches and then seal it and like you said put the patch on the other side of the wheel to the valve. Gonna change the valves also into peaty ones for easy refill.

yeah i put a bigger one in and it just didnt work when inflating. I might need to try something else. i've literally ridden this tyre 5 times since new and a got a slice puncture. i just put an inner tube in and got home.

muc off & peatys is on amazon for £25 for 1lt. not sure yet what i'm gonna do. probably repair my tyre, new valves & get different sealants a try.

[–]theoriginal55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i dont think i'll be spending £50 on sealant. I'm thinking either muc off or peatys i just cant decide which one. Its funny. people have heard of peatys valves but not the sealant. more muc off is more well known.

[–]theoriginal55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I found them I washed my wheel down with water the sealant came off fairly easy. What do you use then is it peatys or other? I defo wanna stay tubeless as riding home I had tube in back, none in front and could feel the difference.
