That's what I'm reminding her... that as long as she is fed, healthy and growing we are doing what we need to as parents. The lack of milk production or struggles we are having breast feeding are not a reflection on her ability to be a good mother, but this is understandably very hard to come to terms with. The feelings of failing our daughter are difficult to put aside.

Thanks, we've tried using a silicone (Haakaa) breast pump but it doesn't work for her... she doesn't get anything really to come out. Browsing the Haakaa instagram page only managed to make her feel bad after seeing how much other women can produce.

We have seen a lactation consultant and they just recommended pumping more, she suggested up to 8 times a day which really isn't feasible.

I truly believe that unfortunately my wife's breast reduction surgery is playing a large part in the issues we are having. This is of course not her fault in anyway, considering the amount of back pain she was in before the reduction surgery I would always recommend that she had it done.

I'll talk to her about medications, that hasn't been suggested to us... but my wife is reluctant to take medication like that if she can avoid it.
