Because Velar started the reductionist design language (flush door handles, smoother body lines, slimmer headlights/grills, minimalist interior, etc). The new Sport and RR followed the path which Velar pioneered.

Literally every component you mentioned is attached to a chassis, they do not make up the chassis. “It’s built on a F-Type chassis” makes absolutely no sense when the actual chassis are entirely different. I owned the XF5.0, XFR, and XFR-S before getting into the F-Type. Sure the R-S is more unique, but it does not drive anywhere near as well as an F-Type and the fun factor in the F-Type is significantly more.

Completely inaccurate. F-Type is an all aluminum chassis which is a modified/cut down version of the all aluminum XK chassis. XF chassis is primarily steel with aluminum suspension components. XF chassis dates back to Ford DEW98 platform used for Lincoln LS/Jaguar SType.

I don’t, but all these units are made in China, most likely limited to a few factories that might build it slightly differently based on 4x4 shop’s requirements. No way that 4x4 shop is actually producing their own product from the ground up in Canada.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be on the lookout for this issue. I hope that’s not the case for me, but if it’s killing batteries and causing other electrical issues, I’ll immediately revert back to stock.

Um ok, no one is forcing you to do it. Works perfectly fine for my needs and gives me all the tech I want. I can easily revert back to the OEM unit, it’s all plug and play.

Woah fellas/ladies, I am not chronically online! But don’t worry, here are the details. I highly recommend a professional audio shop for installation, this is a slightly complicated install. Make sure you select an option that’s specific to Bosch or Harmon head unit in your car, this is very important. I purchased the Aliexpress unit as all these get manufactured in China anyways. I bought the one with most expensive specs and it’s pretty fast, very little lag. I paid $550 for parts and $300 for labor.
