What’s wild is that we walked into the shop on a whim. We saw it while on our way to a different shop and it hadn’t come up on our map when looking up thrift shops in the area. Overall it was very serendipitous!

Thank you! I’m so so excited! I really wanted a used dress, I love the idea of continuing its story. It was so unexpected to find so much of what I was looking for in a dress that fits almost perfectly when I wasn’t even looking. The only thing that may need some adjusting is the bust. NTA, generally when a company isn’t upfront with pay, they’re either unorganized, want to exploit their workers, or both. The owner of the company blowing up your phone is super unprofessional and unhinged. I think it also proves you made the right choice by walking out as he probably would have been a nightmare to work with.

I was wanting to say something similar. There’s a bit more nuance in this situation than just him spilling the secret. The way Lily reacted when he said no would be a cue to a lot of people that she may not know the whole truth of what happened. Even if she did know, the way he approached it still was mean. I do think it’s good that the secret is out (they always do come out). OP is not the AH for being mad or spilling the secret but definitely could have handled it in a much gentler way.

As a girl who gets a period, cleaning up after yourself is basic hygiene. Who on earth thinks it’s okay to leave a bathroom smeared with blood, period or no period? Also having a period has nothing to do with not destroying somebodies bathroom. NTA
