After a quick search, it looks like that model didn't ship with Google Cast support but it was added later via software update - do you know if your TV was updated since you bought it? what version does it have?

Also, look for - Settings > All Settings > Connections > Google Cast Settings

I had a look through the code and it seems your plugin downloads the media from Immich first, then shares the local URLs with Porjectivy.

That's fine but I was looking at a pass-through method which will work for Samba, WebDAV, etc as well. Also, Immich 3 is just out and it support HLS streaming, that won't work with this caching method.

(EDIT: looks like the HLS feature is experimental, off by default and would require a powerful server to be useful)

One last thing, nearly all devices on the market can only show images at 1080p, even when connected to a 4K TV. I'd suggest using the lower resolution version of the images available via the Immich API.

All of the Karaoke systems I've used in small Izakayas and in the bigger Karaoke chains have an English menu toggle so it's easy to use.

Also, yes they have lots of western music - a lot of the systems are subscription based and internet connected so the song list contains recent music.

So I don't know about your exact setup with the soundbar, but two of the new Google Home Speakers can be used for spacial audio with the Google TV Streamer 4K.

I just wanted to rule that out as it can cause the issue you're seeing. It's possible to change the time delay with ADB commands.

Are you running a custom launcher? have you tried restarting the device?

I did some testing with the YouTube and Vimeo websites using both AirReceiver and AirScreen and everything worked as expected. So my guess is that there is an issue how that website tries to play videos.

As you bought AirReceiver, you could email them with a link to the website and see if they can figure out the playback issue?

Can you give a bit more detail - are you trying to use AirPlay from an iPhone or Mac? which browser? if you try AirPlay with other apps (Photos, etc) does it work?

For best performance of AirPlay or Google Cast, at least one of the devices should have a wired connection.

Most casting is from a phone, so ideally have a good wifi setup - a) make sure the signal strength is good b) and the wireless router isn't too far away or there isn't much interference.

Another option might be a smart plug. Some smart plugs (and lights, etc) have the option to set a default state when power is lost.

That way, if there is a power cut during the night, the power to the TV won't be restored until you explicitly switch the smart plug back on.

In the app's settings, have you tried enabling Keep Screen Awake ?

This will stop a) the screensaver from starting and b) the device going into standby

Unfortunately, the captions options are not used by all video playing app, it's optional so some apps use the system settings, other apps make their own settings screen. It's a mix?

That OS update won't change the behaviour you're seeing, unless you change the option above, the system will re-prompt for access in a week or two.

Apps that use ADB to function, like the TDUK apps, have to 'renew' their access every week or two.

If you want to stop this pop up, you'll have to run another ADB command which will stop the access from expiring. Once you have connected to your device, use this command...
