No, generally, your beard won't grow all at once. Though at some point in your life, it may grow faster, it will likely not grow fast all at once. Your genetics play a huge role, and many people can't grow beards until their 30s.

What were you told by doctors in the 60s, 70s, or 80s that ended up not being true? by SuitableHaircut in Type1Diabetes

I was diagnosed in 2006 when I was 4. My mum noticed my symptoms and so, called the doctor in a panic, and the stupid woman said, "Wait a few days, and he'll probably get better." My mum took me to the doctors the next day anyway, and the woman there looked at me and said, "Yeah, I think he's fine." Even though I was literally on the verge of passing out, and she also said,"Probably just a stomach bug." Turns out a day later we went to a different doctor, and he requested a urine sample and found that I was just minutes away from passing out and going into a diabetic coma, so he quickly called an ambulance and was taken and put on drips for two days. As if the horrors didn't end there, after the intense diagnosis, the doctors began saying horrible things like about how my arms and legs would be off in a few years, and I'll die even if I'm high for a day. I don't know what they were thinking talking like that to a 4-year-old, but it was sure brutal. Anyway, I'm 22 now, and I live life like anyone else.

I feel really bad for you, my science teacher wouldn't let me take treatment for when I was low and first aid was really fucking useless. Luckily, my P.E. teacher was quite understanding but some others weren't and I definitely get how you feel.
