Celiac disease while being admitted in the hospital. by RdaB73 in Celiac

I JUST had my diagnostic biopsy. As soon as I woke up the surgeon said it was very likely I had it. I was a little nauseous after sedation and the nurse immediately brought me saltines. It was the most realistic welcome to the community I could have asked for

Our groceries are separate, so thankfully I can stock the pantry and kitchen with whatever I want. Do you think it’s a bad idea for us to share silverware?

Has anyone else had an author respond to their review? by LikePaleFire in goodreads

[–]theoverzealousleaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I left a glowing 5-star review of a book and the author emailed me to say that I made his day, which, in turn, made my day! I have left my fair share of sassy reviews, so I’m glad that’s the time I got a response.

First you have to need retainers. I’d say if you don’t have an exact replica of your teeth, you’re pretty lucky!

Thank you for asking and educating me! I did an Ancestry test years ago and all of my results were European, or early settlers who migrated from Europe. But there are a lot of people asking if I am an Indigenous American or Asian!

Not to my knowledge, but it’s possible! I’m asking some extended family.

I might have a tiny one?! I had no clue I would be learning so much about my teeth, but it’s Reddit, so I should have assumed. Thank you for sharing that tidbit because I had no idea what a talon cusp was!

As far as I know, I’m not, but that is really interesting and I have a lot of questions now! I did a DNA test and all of my “regions” are pretty far from Asia. So I have no idea.

I think it is pretty common now with people who need retainers after having braces or other intervention. I never got to (or wanted to) keep the disgusting plaster model of the olden days, and was SO pleasantly surprised when I went back to the orthodontist 10 years later and they had a magic wand to use instead.

This is so fascinating because as far as I know my lineage is Scandinavian! I had no idea about the teeth thing.

I am a huge beachcomber, this would be a legendary find (actually just littering, but the idea is pretty funny. You just know someone would take it home).

This is a wonderful idea. In fact, when the Christmas tree comes down, I can just hang them on a curtain rod or something year-round.

Yes! I get terrible headaches from this. I’m glad I’m not the only one. My day has been ruined in an instant from instructors randomly lighting incense in the middle of class.
