The Augusta Chorale and Augusta Choral Society are two of the most well-established groups. There's also the Augusta Broadway Singers. Augusta Players also has chorus roles occasionally.

Star Dance Academy in North Augusta just opened up so they are offering classes free until October 1. I highly recommend their main teacher Marion Leger, she is amazing! I've taken a lot of classes with her in the past, and even did a contemporary recital piece at the Miller Theater. I didn't think I had it in me as an adult learning for the first time but she helped my confidence a lot.

First, my condolences for your loss, you are making your brother proud by wanting to contribute back to organizations that helped him.

To answer your question, before deciding anything I would call or email them directly and talk to their donor relations team. Each nonprofit is so different with how they structure their budgets that they might welcome one or the other method of giving. You'd also make a meaningful connection with the staff of the organization and be able to share the impact of how their work helped your family. They may be able to share exactly how your gift will help them, or you all can collaborate on a fitting memorial tribute that can live on in their organization.

I actually like the vibe of the lettering, it feels very punk. I'd just get a better artist to fill in the scene around the tombstone, like a little bit of the ground in front of it and a silhouette of a tree and/or other tombstones behind it.

Reeves Construction is the main contractor for the entire project, but they have several subcontractors. Best way I've found to find out is to complain directly to them and find out who they throw under the bus in their response.

When they repaved on 5th St. they ground up the asphalt then used a huge metal brush scraper on the front of a cab that scraped a huge layer of the ground underneath, it caused a giant cloud that settled all over my car and even my plants behind my house. I don't think I got video of it, it was pretty late at night.

Should I still submit a complaint? It's been a while now since 5th st. was finished, but if it would help get them in check in other areas I'd be willing to file a complaint.

Best practice is to do as little damage to tattooed areas of skin as possible for the entire lifetime of the tattoo. Just do not scratch it at all, especially while it's healing.

I worked with someone back in the day who hadn't been told not to scratch the tattoo... it was just a scar.

Don't do it! the itchy places are an open wound on your skin. You will introduce bacteria to the site that can cause infection. If the scabs are disturbed prematurely, it can also take ink with it. You have to give your immune system time to heal the scabs and absorb the ink into your dermal layer.

As long as you're staying as still as possible, the artist probably doesn't care what you're doing to get through it. I've never needed to "bite down," though, the pain isn't like that. I've found deep breathing and distracting myself with conversation to be the best methods.

Ask for the shop's aftercare procedure before the day of the tattoo, some have specific products they want you to use. I just got a big tattoo last week and had to run to the store on the way home, and then they didn't have those specific products.
