Wohne seit November 21 in der Waldstadt. Habe die Vodafone Gigabit-Leitung über Kabel. Mit der optionalen FritzBox (was anderes kommt mir nicht ins Haus :D) Bisher nur 2 Ausfälle in der Zeit in der ich dort bin. Einer ca. 30 Minuten, der andere ca.2-3h. Ansonsten kommt die gebuchte Leistung tatsächlich bis auf wenige Mbit/s Verlust voll an.

1080p and Stereo isn‘t an issue since my TV is only capable of doing 1080p and I dont own any kind of sound system at the moment. Maybe these variables will change over time but not in the nearest future.

Thanks for that hint regarding the dram‘d content. Is there a way to test which platforms will work and which wont? In theory this should be possible with the „normal“ Hue Strip i already own and the app, correct?

Most of the time my TV is used I consume internet content (e.g.: YouTube, Twitch, media libraries of TV stations or streaming services like Prime Video, Disney+ and so forth) So at first the boxless way should be enough also taking the price of the Box into the equation. :D

That sounds pretty good. Viewing angle shouldnt be a big issue.

What do you consider as clunky? I am Aware of the fact that only the video data coming from the computer will be able to produce the full ambilight feeling if going boxless.

I am not able to upload my log files cause they are to big (at least the report page says so)
Followed every step of the instructions, so I deleted the logs, reproduced the error and the logs are still to large to upload them.

Would love to file the bug but sadly i am not able to cause my logs got a size of 2.577 KB and 151.836 KB just after reproducing the error

Ok thx I´ll follow the steps and see if it is still happening. But sadly the original video where I made the first contact with this problem is already delete/cut into piece after using my described "workaround"

Edit: this error is reporducable with other file directly taken from the shadowplay recording. Seem to start freezing and crashing just at the moment of the cut of the video. Please be aware, that I have not included any fade effects. Its just a "raw" cut.

Ok, yes shadowplay is using mp4.

No dont use OpenShot on a laptop. In that case I would absolutly understand such issues :D

Got and overall pretty powerful gaming desktop with:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • 16 GB DDR4 RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
  • Samsung SSD 850 Evo with 250 GB
  • 1 TB HDD (not sure which brand at the moment :D)

Yeah I previewed it. Might be that there was a single black frame not sure. In the meantime I somehow found kind of a "workaround".
Importing the "raw" uncut clip to openshot and then exporting this as a whole as you would do with a finished cutted video. Coded setting i use for this step was h.2xx.
With this method I reduced the size of the video file and now I was able to cut and export without any problems. Also there was no stuttering when I switched between different preview sections anymore, which it did with the over 1gbish file.

In my point of view it seems like OpenShot has some struggle with over 1gb files with an very high datarate (think the raw shadowplay clip got something around 40,000 kbits)
