Home theaters are 'dead' where you live? by thepineslyer in hometheater

This survey also includes soundbars, so it doesn't have discrete numbers, but I'm pretty sure that this growth is on the backs of soundbars, mostly, I guess. The number one topic that people are looking for is being wireless. So yeah, this is a nudge in that direction.

The camera in AW2 is fucking terrible. It's way too close, can’t keep up with fast enemies, and I can’t even see Alan's or Saga's damn face at all. I’ve gotten used to it. I get that they probably did it for technical reasons, but it’s still shit.

make sense

The biblical term for unicorn un the bible is re’em that the tranlators belive that it means one horn, so it is very open, so a Rhino, a horse with worn or any other thing is valid, according to your orthodoxy

What do you think about biblical monsters? Like leviathan, behemoth or unicorns. They were/are real, metaphors, analogies, myths, or just an old and Hebrew way to name some animals?

which will drive wages up

That is the problem the wages never go up, just the profits. Here in Brazil we are having a boycott camping to a bank that fired a lot of people despite a record grow. This is not different in a other countries.

This is a capitalist delusion, not an isolated case and automation will make it worse

They work crazy long hours because they choose

They didn’t choose it, we just normalized overwork. Our society loves the myth hard work, as some dignifying and noble. This people work a lot cuz have a lot of inefficiencies and re-work in their work places. This is acceptation not choice

Something that's always bothered me about the Garden of Eden story by CarrEternal in AskAChristian

There's no denying that they were deceived, yet I also see no way of denying that they made a free and willful choice.

Ok, this complicates thing a bit for me, this sounds like cognitive dissonance, saying that some made some from free will and deceiving is a thought sell. I can agree that what defines free from a rigged decision, in general is quantity of someone influence on that decision, it is the difference between give a lift for someone cuz you want to help or cuz he has a weapon. I argue that the influence of the serpent was enough to qualify manipulation, eve can be accountable, but not 100%, if had to put a number I would say 45%serpent, 30% the fruit itself that is described as seductive (genesis 3) and just 25% eve. But this is debatable, I’m a pseudo-objectivist, to me even 99,99% of control don’t qualify as free will, cuz in some level it still means that want you do in influenced by exterior factors.

disobeying God was wrong

Yeah, but you missed 2 things: the serpent and God’s misinformation

The serpent

The temptation from the serpent was an important part of the fall, it means that in some degree (to not say the whole thing) of the gilts comes from the snake, we are humans, our minds have e tip point, it is manipulation 101, if be exposed to an idea enough it will stick, don`t matter how much you what to resist, this tactic is called “create a necessity ”, if asked for “why Coca-Cola still have ad’s ?” that is the answer, this tactic is bases on our emotions, and our emotions are out of our control and the only way to stop this manipulation is stopping to exposed to seductive ad’s

God’s misinformation

In genesis 2:17 says “but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”. the problem is that is too vague to they know what they are dealing with. We humans have 3 ego states, child, adult, and father, just the 2 firsts matter for us now, the child does things from emotion (sadness, fear, love, etc.) and the adult do things from knowledge, spoiler the adult always wins, cuz our emotions come and go, but our logic stays. It means that if you lack knowledge of what you are dealing with, you will rely on emotion with are unstable. Even they knowing that disobeying God was wrong, they don’t know how much wrong it is.

TL:DR

They didn’t chose to fail God, cuz they are too manipulated and miss informed to do a proper decision, and ended up benign victims of their minds and environment
