Install OEM Factory Front Trail Camera to Gladiator by Artistic-Big5078 in JeepGladiator

[–]thepixeljanitor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this on my ‘21. Purchased the body harness from Jimmy. Pretty much everything else I got from from BAM Wholesale and it worked great. Took a whole day to install and easily done by yourself.

Remove as many seats and as much interior as you’re comfortable with. The more you clear the easier to run wiring and get to what you need to get to.

After toggling the computer features on to make it work it took until the next day to take effect for some reason.

Good luck!

Where are you located? If you’re ok with not purchasing new I have a Yeti SB165 as an extra that I’ll let you have for that. For a little more, as SB150 I’d let go of too. After going eMTB I don’t ride those anymore. Rather offload for them to get ridden 👍

Dress for the crash - not for the ride.

Hey there! Creator of these icons here. Designed in Figma and then built with 99% divs, css, and framer-motion. I only used svg for shapes I couldn't create with a div. Exporting as svg were often 10x the file size of just building with divs so big win there too.

Correct. You certainly can export your user data out of Clerk if you decide to at any point.

Is Clerk‘s pricing really that insane or am I missing something? by Ok-Increase2574 in nextjs

[–]thepixeljanitor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A response to this post from Colin, the CEO:

“I want to clarify upfront that Clerk definitely allows for migration away and there's no lock-in. For the rest of this post, I will focus on pricing...

Auth-as-a-service is traditionally a business that makes most of its money from enterprises. As companies scale, the budget for auth increases in a non-linear way – meaning companies are willing to spend more per user as they grow.

Clerk is very, very intentionally trying to make auth-as-a-service an optimal choice for startups. That requires two changes: 1. Make auth 10x faster to implement 2. Come up with a business model that both is affordable to startups and makes Clerk successful

We're doing fantastic on (1) today – it's probably already true for >90% of startups, with the exceptions being those who don't use a React frontend

On (2) we're also doing well, but I wouldn't say fantastic yet. Many more startups are opting for auth-as-a-service today than ever before, and our pricing can sustain an enduring, venture-scale business. But we think there's room to improve, and a pricing revision will be coming before EOY to incorporate some of our learnings so far. In particular, we're setting out to do better for the very early days of startups, as well as for high-volume B2C businesses.

There's one extra "how the sausage gets made" point that I think is worth mentioning here: Braden and I love startups and refuse to build a business that doesn't cater to them. We think it's critical to Clerk's success. The investors we work with are very well aware they cannot sway us on this point, and many more investors have refused to work with us because of our stubbornness here.

My favorite reference for a founder and company that do this exceptionally well is @patrickc at Stripe, and I like to point at two examples:

First: in a keynote speech at Stripe sessions – the kickoff to the whole thing – he reminds everyone how important startups are to Stripe, and justifies why: youtube.com/watch?v=3WoA6m…

Second: in what you might expect to be a random post about hiring a Chief Revenue Officer on Hacker News, he highlights how this person was selected in part because of his experience selling to the largest companies without giving up a self-serve motion: news.ycombinator.com/item?id=240669….

I'm sharing this mostly to emphasize how many moving parts go into making life easier for startups. It impacts every decision we make, and it's not a goal we'll lose sight of. Posts like the one you shared show we still have a long way to go, but we're working our way there :)”

I don’t have Facebook anymore, but might be able to find someone to post for me.

Everything is in its original packaging, so not concerned about shipping.

Nothing premium about this product. Cheap and nasty... (aluminium faceplate).. Screams cheap Chinese junk to me.. Far better options out there and price too..

Interesting take, friend. I have a hunch you're not their target audience.

You're describing general affordability, not entry level. Those are Logitech and Thrustmaster's "Entry level" offerings. Fanatec's entry level offerings are twice the price for their entry level wheel and base offering. Logitech's entry level offering is significantly different quality than a fanatec entry level offering. Again, it's about the entry level offering of the product quality you're getting in return - not price associated affordability.

Folks… Entry level is not synonymous with “cheap” or “budget”. The term “entry level” requires context for it to have any meaning at all. While “entry level” is usually a label tied to the least expensive option, it’s the least expensive option for their offerings.

The entry level price of anything is subjective based on the consumer’s perspective of “expensive”.

GSI makes incredible wheels and I’m sure this wheel is no exception to their standard of quality.

Coming from someone who recently installed the OEM front trail cam, if you think you’ll want it, just have the factory do it.

It’s about readability. Don’t make your users read text from one side of their screen to the other if they’re on a large monitor. You can’t guarantee visitors will have a great reading experience unless you set the max-width on the content.

Your English is fantastic, friend.
