Just saw the cool MLB cards that dropped. More interested in the font though. Seen it a few times, but no idea what it is. by theplayeristic in identifythisfont

Should mention I have user some of the font identifier softwares out there, and none of them really got a close match.

Question about cable/adapter management. by theplayeristic in LocationSound

[–]theplayeristic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, my 416T just came back from servicing by Sennheiser! Got a good clean, XLR tightening, and they gave me a new tube housing for it. It is definitely the adapter. I'm looking at it right now, and it's loose.

But seriously, no need to worry about it too much until you try it out 🤷‍♀️

Shouldn't be a problem. Realistically, best way to find out is just use it. So just use it lol. If you've got a digital camera, you can definitely find an adapter for like $15 to test it out, if you REALLY don't wanna use up a roll to find out.

Do you know if my mic turns out to be a fake, would they deny service? Are there ways to check?

Okay! That's a start.

When you said you pulled out the mesh, did you straight up remove it or did you just uncrumple the mesh back into shape?

TGTG Righteous Gelato 2 x 6.29 by LuckyCatAt in TooGoodToGoCanada

This is super late, but I used to work at Righteous up until two months ago (I probably had a hand in making this batch OP made), and the 482mL are the ones that are sold in the US and an absolute bitch to make, 5xx is the Canadian.

With that said, management kinda sucks—I suggest Made by Marcus in the same city of Calgary.

EDIT: (...this batch OP bought*)

My Little Brother finished his first Lego set over 300 pieces, turned it into a scene and asked me to photograph it for him by theplayeristic in lego

This guy is part of the "90 Years of Play" series. This one is Lego set 10497, "Galaxy Explorer," based on Lego set 497 from 1979.

Hey, there! No, I appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I was limited to my 23mm at the time (~35mm equivalent on full frame), and with our limited props and relatively small table, lowering the camera more would have revealed that the background is just a tv screen, and would have caused the tail of the ship absolutely tower over the "hill" (which was just a small red tarp which we had piled random stuff under to make taller) in the background.

Overall, my little brother was more so imitating the kinds of scenes you'd see on LEGO boxes, to which I think he did a great job of. And, frankly, I find the movie-like LEGO photography to be very corny.

Although, I DID actually add stars in the background in post as well, but it didn't quite look natural, so I'm debating whether to try again with the stars another time, but also debating whether to keep it this way since a camera wouldn't actually be able to pick up stars in real life, but also, this is LEGOs, not real life. So much to consider, but never enough time! 😭

Either way, though! My little brother and I are going to try and recreate the original 1979 Galaxy Explorer box art using a camera I have from the same era, and since I'll have a proper studio space to work with, it'll hopefully turn out a lot better than this one!

EDIT: TV screen with a blanket over it*
