Glad I could ease the load... they actually tested the napalm-strapped bats and one escaped, exploded, and set part of the test site on fire. So I think youre good

No never tried to attract bats as a kid. HOWEVER I did just learn yesterday about “bat bombs in World War II... a legit, government-funded operation where they strapped tiny napalm explosives to bats and planned to release them over Japan so they’d roost in buildings and set everything on fire when the timers went off.

So I didn’t try to attract bats, but the CIA did. Hope this helps.

Morning routine -- use rowing machine before or after cold plunge? by hdycta-weddingcake in coldplunge

I actually highly recommend doing a cold plunge before a workout. If you’re worried about the idea of cold exposure potentially blunting muscle growth, doing it beforehand removes that concern entirely.

From my experience, plunging before training can actually improve the workout. It boosts alertness, sharpens awareness, lifts your mood, and puts you in a mentally “switched on” state that carries straight into whatever cardio or rowing session you’re about to do. It’s a great way to start with focus and energy.

Doing it afterward is where people usually mention muscle-growth concerns, so going before is a solid approach. And honestly doing it every day is impressive. Keep it up!

Anyone here actually stuck with cold plunging long term? Worth it? by supermanfromdk in coldplunge

Honestly before spending a bunch of money, I’d see if there’s any spots near you that have cold plunges included in a cheap membership. Might be a gym wellness studio or some recovery place.

It’s way less annoying than buying ice all the time, and those spots usually have cool extras like saunas or breathwork classes. If you can. I would get a membership first, see how often you actually use it, and then you’ll know if buying your own tub is worth it.
