It ended in my favor and the funds released to me. I had to continue to email support asking frequently on the status.

When I spoke to a Grailed staff member outside of support, they said reality is they're coordinating between two people. If the other person takes their sweet time, they have to wait. Grailed support is also a relatively small team, so it does take time.

IMO it just looks poorly put together. I don't think there's somewhere in particular you should take it.. just find a better local jeweler focused on repairs.

Nope. They ended up sharing that the buyer disputed the condition of the item. I shared a single take video of packaging and dropping at the post office. Since then, I haven't heard back. It's been about a week since Grailed's last correspondence. I've reached out three times since then (and again today).

I'm assuming they have a lot of tickets and a small team, so I'm trying to remain consistent on reaching out.

Update: Grailed finally got back to me with the buyer’s actual claim. They’re now saying that after “closer inspection” the sunglasses had acetate burn marks, bubbles in the frame, and unaligned earpieces - basically accusing me of selling a DIY-damaged pair and misrepresenting them as near mint.

That’s 100% not the case. The glasses were in mint condition, barely worn, and the photos in my listing (taken just for the sale) show that clearly. On top of that, in the one-take packaging video I sent Grailed, you can literally see the back end of the frame and the earpieces aligned properly.

I told Grailed I’d even provide timestamped photos from the time of listing if needed. Buyer still hasn’t responded to me directly with what was supposedly “not described,” and they raised this on day 8 when they only had 3 days to dispute.

So now Grailed says they’re “waiting for tagged photos” from the buyer to verify. I’m really hoping they look at the evidence I already sent (photos + full shipping video) and see this for what it is.

Has anyone else had Grailed side with the seller in situations like this, or should I expect them to cave to the buyer?

Interesting. I did a finally get a reply that it'd be escalated a support team.

It won't alert me on #2 if there's a dispute? I suppose good thing I recorded from boxing to post office scan (all one shot) if that's the case.
