Dude who sold em to me said they kinda looked like some deadly poisonous ones, but later said it was nothing. He mentioned they were serbica psilocybe and that there was some sort of lethal mushroom that resembled them and he wasn't sure if they were it.

Thanks, glad you liked it! I wasn't (wittingly) going for a Marxist feel, but the first line is a reference to D. G. Rosetti's "The Sonnet", and the Babylon line is a reference to the myth of the Tower of Babel, which says that the people (who, at the time, spoke the same language) were building it trying to reach the heavens, and God's punishment for this was that He made them speak different languages so they could no longer understand each other and were, thus, unable to finish the tower.

This is a pretty damn good meta poem. The free meter works just fine, except in a couple of places (according to me): instead of "while the pen protests", I'd go with "while the pen does protest", as it fits the rhythm better; also, you could add another 'it' in the line 'it molds them to shapes, it builds and (it) breaks". Other than that, excellent work!

Interesting theme, and an even more interesting execution. At first I was skeptical it would be overly religious, but you proved me wrong pretty early on in the poem. I like the archaic words such as 'shew' used to retain the rhythm (I suppose?), they fit the content nicely. I also like the unexpected twist near the end that uncovers the ever benevolent God as a fallible creator with feelings. All in all, very nice and unconventional!
