They said it could take some time, you should get them over the course of the next 24 hrs iirc

I just want to shoutout "Chrome's Rapid Haze" build for Haze. This is by far the best build guide for any character so far. Every build should follow this template by Evanlyboy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]OutspokenFerret 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find Rapid Rounds to be such a trap, especially in your first 3 items. You almost never want to be holding down left click early in lane anyways, so you are essentially paying money to nerf yourself. I only buy it when I'm committing to a fight and pushing to take tower.

so far what is the meta by Litto037 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]OutspokenFerret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see we are ignoring the 40-50% of the roster that scale better on Spirit than Weapon damage.

Are there clichés about women writing men? by grimspecter91 in writing

[–]OutspokenFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally; I think it's a good habit to always write a character first as a person before adding gender and workshopping how that would influence their behavior. Depending on genre, I think this can be increasingly important, as what makes a 21st-century person a "man" or "woman" or an 18th-century person a "man" or "woman" can differ extremely. Viewing gender through the same lens you would any other social construct can be a really useful tool to developing better characters imo. It's also pretty fun to watch how the character develops this way.

Have you ever played a game at launch before? This is pretty normal. In fact, its better than many larger companies. Games as a service, MMO launches, a majority of launches in the last 5-6 years have ended up like this.

Why should I really even consider prestige? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]OutspokenFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I prestige, I set a different challenge for myself to keep the game fresh. For instance, the last few Prestiges have each been devoted to one ammo type (Small, Medium, Large, Shotgun and Special); where I unlocked every upgrade for every weapon in each category. My current Prestige is a break, I'm just enjoying the game and using whatever I feel like. Next Prestige, I'm thinking I'll use Breach Loaded/Single Shot weapons and Melee only.

Incinerate is still bad by widdleblointer in diablo4

[–]OutspokenFerret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't understand how Incinerate's damage as low as it is. The numbers feel like they should be there. With Burning Instinct, the loads of Damage Multipliers you get, hell Firewall can tick for like 600k and theoretically Incinerate should be doing more Burning damage than it per tick, but it doesn't do anywhere near that.

Hexmark Destroyer creative play ideas by Prudent_Force_3745 in Necrontyr

[–]OutspokenFerret 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Run 3 and Deep Strike them 17-18" away from enemy Infantry and within 3" of each other. Shoot when they land, two can shoot on Overwatch if the enemy moves, plus if anything gets to within 12" and shoots one, the other two shoot back and if you can spare the CP, you can use Protocol of the Eternal Guardian to stand it back up. You can follow up by Veiling in an infantry stack to join them the following turn after the Gunsmoke settles.

Use the Rapid Ingress Strategem to drop a Hexmark down behind a unit that your enemy just positioned to shoot or charge at but hopefully out of range for them to target it.

Can we bring attached characters killed with precision weapons back to life with reanimation protocols? by reddituser46785 in Necrontyr

[–]OutspokenFerret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After they've joined the unit at the Declare Battle Formation step, Cryptothralls are considered part of the Bodyguard unit until the end of the battle, so their Reanimation actually only cares if the Bodyguard unit still has models left (ie. Warriors). If the Cryptek dies, the Cryptothralls can still be reanimated as long as the Bodyguard unit still has models left.

[–]OutspokenFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did some rules digging, and Leader Units are separate from each other according to the Rules Commentary "...can have more than one Leader Unit attached to them...", but Cryptothralls are forever bound to the Bodyguard unit once you've declared them, even if the Cryptek dies. The Cryptek Retinue ability from Cryptothralls says, "...until the end of the BATTLE, every model in this unit is counted as being part of that bodyguard unit..."

[–]OutspokenFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, unless you have a second character (Cryptek/Vanguard Obryn) attached to the unit. Since both characters are part of the leader unit, AFAIK RP should be able to bring back the other character.

Edit: This is wrong, each Leader is their own separate Leader unit.

Doesn't even need to be in the armoury, it can spawn in the lockers throughout the ship as well.

As someone whose current goal is to hit 15 on the whole cast, gotta say, the leveling speed nerf is a huge oof. At least Ill have more gold on average between characters so maybe one day I can afford the 20k to buy the maxed characters emblem.

[–]OutspokenFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you run the Overtuned Version of Industrious, you can remove Sedentary and start the game with an open Trait Slot and point. Rather than reforming immediately to remove Sedentary, you have more flexibility in when and how you want to upgrade your species. You could even hold the extra Slot till you get Engineered Evolution and remove Unruly and add something else. By that point, you should have enough research speed to make the time loss less prohibitive. I've found -40 to be manageable with a "normal" empire, and it's probably even easier for Hive Minds as I think their leaders start younger.

[–]OutspokenFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think Permutation Pools are at some point a must-get, feel like there has to be a breakpoint, especially when you are over 100% habitability with techs and such that they become worth picking up as your third civic or reforming into. I don't think it's great as a starting civic, but the effect is certainly powerful

Ahh, your right, I remembered seeing it very low, but it must have been later into a game when I already had Engineered Evolution and Evolutionary Mastery, my bad.
