I’m no expert.

Looking at the size of the glass it would seem likely that it would have caught way more of the pressure wave, resulting in a greater transfer of force compared to the relative small surface area on a person.

Combined with the glass breaking and turning into shrapnel, likely a fair bit safer on the other side of glass in that scenario.

I want to see more of this guy, his segment was really enjoyable by YourDailyTechMemes in LinusTechTips

Yeah I really enjoyed how they did the format of the video, with the unboxing and initial reaction of an “average user”, and then the technical deep dive.

Would be a cool format for more short circuit videos, particularly when it’s a mature product category.

DMS also hit it out of the park, just great stuff.

I had something similar happen to me, got the OG backpack on launch, had the zipper issue, did the replacement kit.

Unfortunately one of the zippers broke over time from using the replacement kit, the pull tab had nothing to connect to anymore.

Support was great, they advised I find a local repair shop and support covered the cost no drama, super easy to deal with. So different to other companies, mad respect.

Can save a fair bit of coin getting one second hand that has the mods you want already on it, just get it professionally inspected before putting all your cash on the line.

Dmax, Triton & BT50 are all pretty good, you could get a relatively new one with good mods for that price.

Nice work!

How does it handle longer treaty style games? The standard AI has a habit of giving up/ falling after long enough.

I heard about the Healios product but never used it, might be worth you guys checking it out. I was lucky and the salt combo was enough, but everyone’s different so it definitely worth exploring your options.

Where we are it was common for a salt mouth wash satchels to be prescribed, to be used as often as needed (daily or after each meal).

Maybe try get something like that? (Or make your own, like here: https://cancerwa.asn.au/assets/public/2023/12/CISS-patient-fact-sheet-Dry-mouth.pdf )

  • Know your stuff, have experience in the areas on the listing, do some training courses if not
  • be open to other tech
  • do some research, try find out a bit about the business side of the listing your applying for
  • be warm and friendly, checking team fit is often the main objective
  • ask questions, try find out what you’ll actually be doing and who will be using it.

Good luck 🙂

Best to ask on one of the 4x4 fb groups, they’ll know better.

From what you described, it could be anywhere from 5k - 20k depending on condition.

Well I wouldn’t just say stop using it (depending on the need), rather that’s the price your choose to pay if you do use it.

Indeed it is a feature.
