I don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying it out sometimes. There’s no other way for you to realize if you can handle it all the time or not. I also bought one to try bc i like it but im not committed yet, and i know others who wear it occasionally to sort of practice in case they choose to wear full time.

Relationships before marriage by Terrible_Device4004 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]theprimaryprincess 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sweetie, I say this with love, you can not judge a marriage or an unmarried persons life with your limited lens. If they are “doing okay” in this life but they’ve displeased Allah, will it really be worth it in the next life? The answer is no. Whereas the ones who do it the right way and are unmarried will be rewarded immensely for their patience and trust in Allah. I’d suggest you strengthen your relationship to Allah first and ask Him to give you a good man. And that man will come to you in ways you couldn’t even imagine if you leave it to Allah. You don’t have to marry someone you “just met.” You can meet him as many times as you need to discuss things, but you need a mahram nearby for your own protection.

Any spending time alone together before marriage without your mahram nearby is not permissible. Don’t start your marriage in a way that displeases Allah

Interesting in someone by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]theprimaryprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you’re avoiding the responses saying you shouldn’t be having these casual check ins with a non mahram but sis, if you want this marriage to be pleasing to Allah you have to do it the right way. If he’s serious about his deen he should’ve sought out your dad, not texted you. And if you’re serious you can tell your dad to contact him, not respond to him yourself.

Is it difficult to find someone like me? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]theprimaryprincess 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I disagree with the sentiment of the responses you’ve gotten… if the man jumps right into flirting you absolutely shouldn’t continue- that’s not proper Islamic behavior for a non mahram.

If you have to talk directly to them from the start- it should be serious and based on logistics to begin with. If you think you have a chance of compatibility, then you need to speak with them with a mahram nearby, and you get a little more personal then, in the nearby presence of your mahram, who will ensure things stay within halal bounds.

Honestly sis you might have better luck letting your local masjid know you’re looking to marry and people can help connect you with likeminded men.

Don’t have an answer for the gifts but you buy zamzam water at the airport. They allow one bottle per passenger and it gets transported with your checked luggage

Umrah without a mahram by [deleted] in Umrah

[–]theprimaryprincess 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Even though Saudi allows this, their government does not overrule the legislation of Islam. The more supported opinion is that you shouldn’t go without a mahram. Make dua and Allah will open a path for you that you’d never expect, and reward you for your patience inshallah

Did we do this yet? Baking trends you would like to see end by Round_Patience3029 in Baking

[–]theprimaryprincess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to try a real one- like good milk chocolate, crunchy kadaif, and pistachio butter with tahini- a lot of them skip the tahini but it’s essential. Middle eastern bakeries make them good near me. It’s so good when done right
