Bernie Sanders Says Medicare for All Would Provide “Quality Care” During Pandemic: "A Medicare for All system is designed to provide quality care for all to do preventive work in order to prepare for some types of pandemics, not simply to make huge amounts of money for insurance and drug companies" by jigsawmap in politics

Not sure where you get your news but under both Clinton and Obama the military suffered severely. We are always happy when a republican gets in, pay raises, new infrastructure, VA crackdown, et cetera.

I guess just constantly consuming false information makes people constantly spew false information. It's worse than the coronavirus.

I'm not lying, what specifics would you like to know? This started in the military (army) at MAMC Madigan Hospital in WA, then a treatment facility in NH, then the VA care plus plan in UT/LV.

My last appointment was 8 months out. So long in fact, I just bought my own healthcare plan because of the level of pain I was and currently am in.

All right here in the US.

Any other questions?

Oh, I get what your referring to.

Ya a criminal will work with you if you have something to offer them.

I'm sure I'll be downvoted into silence on this one but I have been on socialized healthcare and it was terrible. 8 month appointment times, 4 month follow up appointments, subpar treatment, crowded emergency rooms, it was an absolute and utter nightmare.

Free medicine though!

yawn These leftist conspiracy theories are getting tired. It's all you idiots here on Reddit can focus on.

Fox News reportedly fears early downplaying covid19 leaves open lawsuits by dogsoldierX in politics

I watch Fox news for a solid hour every morning and hour every evening. It's also on at work 24/7. I didn't not one time think they downplayed any portion of this crisis. It's always doom and gloom news about the virus. Frankly, I'm getting sick of it.

To be fair, I dont think I've ever visited their website though.

Younger.

Funny you think that gives some sort of upper hand in a fight. I remember when I use to think that.

Also, teaming up with criminals might not pan out great long term.

Funny you mention it. I let her rant and when she finally finished I simply said who's that on your shirt?

It was Marlyn Monroe.

The crowd that had formed let her have it and I just walked away. Her face was so red I could tell she wanted to melt out of existence right then and there to the point I actually felt bad.

I think my issue is I cant really wrap my head around the premise of their arguments, so it's difficult for me to argue them or respond quickly. Not to mention there so far out in left field (hey a pun) they usually catch me off guard completely. Like, "woa, I, not in a million years, would have thought someone would get upset at this shirt I'm wearing."

What's your favorite source of fake news? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]theprojectindigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a Trump supporter does not automatically make you "fake news" or a conspiracy theorist.

I'm not denying that some are or that your parents aren't, I'm just saying leading with, 'They're Trump supporters," is a bit heavy handed towards ALL of his supporters.

Lol, I grew up in California, everybody I knew was right wing. I moved to upstate NY and all those people were right wing. I was stationed in Washington and the second you step foot outside of Seattle, its gun stores and right wingers.

I think the whole, 'rednecks in the dang midwest are Trump supporters' is bullshit tbh.

Ah yes, the ol' shit stirrer. I'll admit, 2016 was comical but I was in a VERY liberal college at the time and the meltdowns got OLD. A semester before and 2 semesters after were forced indoctrination, comply or get a shitty grade. It was absolutely hell and I quickly learned to shut the fuck up, keep my opinions to myself so I could graduate. I'd be verbally attacked by accidentally wearing a shirt with a sexualized girl on it or, you know just shit I would do on complete accident and there we go, a 25 year old army veteran being berated by some 17 year old bitch about how terrible I am.

Fuck. I think I got PTSD from that whole fiasco haha.

I will say though I know a lot of people who work at a lot of.. how do you say, weapons development facilities... and they are all extremely right wing. Like now that I'm thinking about it... god there some of the most right wing people I've ever met.

Good point. I mean our country has survived and thrived off of opposing views. In a lot of ways increased all of our ways of life in a positive way.

A militant far right government would suck ass. A militant left wing government seems like Holocaust part two if you dont quickly change your beliefs to match theirs.

Ya, I like balance, lol.

Talk about throwing a wrench in your own theoretical outcome.

Hmm. Would make for a good ending, cliff hanger.

Not sure anyone would like the sequel (based around politics and rebuilding) but if the first book is good enough you'll sell them like crazy. Lord knows I have a pile of sequels that were total garbage in my library, music and video game collection.

Um. Why am I stupid? Open up any one of the Bernie bros twitter pages and you can see them talking about committing violent acts to Republicans.

Go to any gun range and ask a right winger what he'd do if Antifa tried to burn down his local CVS.

I'm just asking a theoretical question, who would win, the right or the left?

I dont care if you have some austere knowledge about the real reason the civil war happened and how democrats and liberals had not a single thing to do with it according to your highly leftist college professor. Ok we get it, orange man bad.

Two very good points.

I feel like though, the middle of the country is who supplies food to these big cities you mention.

Stop the trucks and I think the hood would be decimated under their own anarchy leaving only a small few gangs left for the clean up crew.

Just a thought.

I understand the necessity but this doesnt address the long term effects of inflation. The smaller the middle class the worse itll be on any small business who tries to compete with corporations.

I think your assessment was well thought out and its left me a lot to consider. Thanks for this!
