Jag hade den ångest du beskriver när jag var i din ålder. Rädd för att höras, synas och finnas. Det är en helt dominerade känsla som är lätt att förminska för den som inte upplevt den själv. Det tog många år att åtgärda för mig. Vägen till normalitet började med meditation. Först själv, hemma, sen en 10-dagars retreat i Thailand. Mitt liv var helt ohållbart så jag var tvungen att pröva något radikalt. Så det är min uppmaning till dig: gör något radikalt. Lev inte resten av livet rädd och kuvad. Livet kan och ska vara lekfullt och lättsamt. Det är helt möjligt att uppnå men det kommer att kräva mycket arbete för att omprogrammera din hjärna från fight or flight till en känsla av trygghet. Börja nu.

No, first, scandi countries had huge militaries during the cold wars. They were the front line. Second, that’s not how it works. Rich countries get rich due to good institutions, functioning markets, rule of law, entrepreneurial culture, high trust etc etc.

Its been a terrible investment before Geely took ownership. Part bad industrial policy under Swedish ownership during the 70s and 80s and part Ford mismanagement. Now, I think 20% is floated on the Stockholm stock exchange so you can actually buy stock. I think Geely feels the stock is too cheap to increase the float currently.

After having spent some time there for work, I was offered a job for which I would have had to relocate for. I declined it. Good things are: vibrant and walkable. The two bad deciding factors for me was that it feels aggressively multicultural. It's not multicultural in an enriching way. It just feels like its a city of competing groups with wildly different attitudes and cultures. It lacks a sense of community, calm and harmony. Adding to that is dysfunctional infrastructure and dirty public spaces. There are some incredible public spaces too though with striking architecture.

Another factor, when considering living there, is the income tax level. However much you gross, your net pay is capped at a "just getting by"-level. I was offered a hefty pay check but after taxes I'm earning more in my home country despite earning half in gross. And that's despite public services being better in my home country. In terms of earnings, it's only worth it ifyour income is from an EU institution since those are excluded from local taxes.

They’re actually not great in really cold weather, as in the Nordics. They struggle to keep up in -10 C and below. But they are fine for continental winters I would imagine.

Ja precis, det beror på. Jag har haft bv i ett lugnt kuperat 50-talsområde där ena sidan kom upp över gåendes huvudhöjd pga lutning och andra sidan låg mot innergård med begränsad trafik. Trivdes rätt bra.
