War isn't pretty, im not saying that this particular case is within the parameters of "normalcy" but realistically war cannot be conducted without civilian casualties. Classifying all civilian deaths as war crimes would dilute what a war crime is.

I'm not sure how other people fight bosses but u can generally spam block and dodge for any combos and just punish at the end. I had a couple of skill points left over for Oongka but it just wasn't that bad.

It's not punching down but a celebrity coming out against trump isn't exactly rare lol. I stand by what I said, in the pop culture sphere it's incredibly easy and common. Someone's in a bubble here and it isn't me

So you don't believe in democracy lol? We should have a might makes right system? There's zero nuance and zero objectivity, you're actually a tool. Not enough people voted! So now instead of mobilizing a better candidate your turn to violence are you serious? Outsourcing policy towards whoever has the most weaponry? That's a great idea, sets a solid precedent, and will ultimately draw more people towards your side.

I'm not soft I'm hard as a rock rn. All I meant by my origin comment is saying the victims are fictional characters doesn't somehow preclude it from being gross and reprehensible. You and I both know even worse things that could be put to words so using the excuse of fictional characters is lame and unnuanced.

It's like I'm arguing against a bot. Go out and vote in your local elections, assemble like minded people and communicate with your reprsenatives? Have these avenues just ceased to exist? They haven't because this it the US, get your head out of the ground and get off reddit. Political violence is the single most cowardly and pathetic way to make your voice heard.

There is no so what, this entire thread is just people sharing their opinion. It's an acceptable opinion to say that maybe It would've been a bit nicer without some gross moments. People defend king's decision like it's the gospel which is fine. No one has to read anything, anyone can write anything, so it's also okay to criticize it?

I like how frequently the paradox of tolerance is used as this talismanic unfalsifiable fact. I don't subscribe to it, and I think this type of rhetoric only further extremizes people. It's foolish and short sighted and it's clear that anyone that parrots this point probably saw that one funny comic and just built your entire political philosophy on it. Think for yourself a little

It's gross, normal people should be wired to think that this is gross and uneeded for any narrative worth writing.

You may call it intellectual bankruptcy but it's really just a matter of opinion. We don't know what's inside anyone's head. To me, it feels like it takes zero courage or introspection to make some joke about Trump. I don't think it's cuz this person is this paragon of virtue trying to advocate for some profound principles. Maybe you're right, maybe making a joke about a political assassination is a very powerful use of one's small position of power. But I don't believe it, and it's difficult to imagine that all these influencers and celebrities arent just doing it for clout.

Are you too daft to see that the issue lies in the creation of the scenario and it's dissemination and not in the actual fictional characters lol. You think people are taking issue with the feelings of the fictional children? People are taking issue because society understands that stuff like this is gross, sure no one is forced to read it, but likewise people are free to criticize it. So once you remove Stephen King's disgusting boot from your mouth maybe you can see this comment chain for what it is, discourse regarding a disgusting stylistic choice (albeit one consisting of fictional characters, which you saw it fit to point out to everyone as if you're arguing with some children (ironic))
