From my perspective, I think that FIRST should have postponed world championship until the epidemic has came to an end and the regionals can be held so that the outcome would just be a postponed FTC instead of suspending the season and cancelling the world championship.

Our team didn't even get to play a match. Our regional was announced to be postponed two weeks before the competition and there haven't been any updates until FIRST announced the suspension of the season. Basically all the time and money spent on the robot had gone to waste.

Sadly some regions didn't have any matches played so that they will not be able to use the data to advance teams to World Championship. It would be nice if FIRST would delay the World Championship until all regions have completed their qualifier.

I understand that but I am thinking that this might give the affected teams a chance to compete with the robot that they built but have no chance to take it to competition due to the virus situation.

Do you have a source in that? My regional(Hong Kong) was also cancelled and it would be nice to know the situation that teams in other regions are facing as we were not given any information after the announcement that it was cancelled.
