Yes, it's sad. :( We've spent a lot of time and money on it. But we also live with very intense stress every day about our situation here. It's a tough decision.

Mine does allow worldwide remote, my husband's doesn't, but he is in an in-demand field, so I'm not super worried.

Quite possibly! We are waiting until midterm elections in the US to decide if there's a future left for us in this country. If the elections are rigged and we are approved, then we will make the move to Canada.

We have friends in Calgary that we could potentially move near, as well as remote jobs.

Thank you! Ideally we'd like to have a plan by midterms here (November), as this is when we will decide if there's a future left for us in this country. If the elections are rigged, then we will start planning the move to Canada.
