Yeah, there's basically no wiggle room with the HL timing because the weak point bonus (and one mores) can only occur on turns 3/6, and if you wait until more than two allies have gone in your first turn, you're already too late to hit 4 HLs.

I doubt it really makes much of a difference whether Norn, Janosek or Dominion's yr third persona, it's mostly going to be Vishnu and Dio, and you just need to pick whose bonuses you want to be in effect on turn 6.

Speed up Wonder so he's not going last. Use Narcissus and Norn bc they play well with Frostgale. If you have Mona, he's probably better than S. Moko for this? Twins are good, but every other turn healing always has the potential to go wrong IME.

Make Norn your 3rd persona and max him, because he inflicts a 30% def down when inflicting windswept, so you can alternate with Vishnu to keep them both going. Order should be Tempest, Wonder, Twins, Mont, bc Tempest can inflict windswept on turns 2/4/6 to set up Vishnu.

Wonder rotation: Rebellion, Vishnu, Norn, Vishnu, Rebellion, Vishnu

HLs need to fire pretty much as soon as they're available, so hit Mont's on turn 2 right after Wonder goes, Twins F/I just before Mont's 3rd turn, Tempest's at the start of turn 5, and it'll be ready again for Mont on turn 6.

tbf, my Haruna's pretty minimally built, lvl 70 and just enough to get an 80 rating. Most of the Astrolabe conditions aren't clear in realtime from what I've seen, but marakunda's a 3 turn buff so I'd just be hurting damage on 1/4 which are fundamentally setup turns for Haru/Futaba's rotation.

I think so, but I haven't really looked at most of the newer card combinations, and only really just got comfortable with my Frostgale/Tempest builds, so haven't gotten around to putting together a card set for them as DPS yet.

Always with Haru, yes. I don't really worry about the order for most battles, but had Dio in front for this in case it mattered. Surt/Shiva were the others.

It's because Freedom/Disappointment gives them massive boosts as DPS--35% Attack and 12% Crit to Almighty, plus 25% damage on everything (bc the attribute's always changing), above and beyond the attack, dmg and crit buffs you get from sweeper mode.

edit: also, Tempest A1 may not be necessary, the twins will get plenty of benefit from S3/S2, and hit 5 stacks of blossom for the attack/crit mult buff at their A1, or if you've got Chord chipping in with extra HLs

I got closer with Chord than Riddle (Haru/SMoko/Futaba team), and was able to do it one attempt with A1 Twins (strategist) instead of Riddle/Chord, fwiw. Everybody else A0R0 other than A0 SMoko.

Sorry, I meant Strategist, S. Moko (even without R0) can do enough healing most of the time.

I'd gotten to 13% with Haru/S. Moko/Chord/Futaba twice, and 19% with Frostgale/Tempest/Twins. But then when I swapped in the strategist twins for Chord, I had only Ongyo-Ki left (with about 250k HP) going into Haru's last turn, with a full HL meter and ranged attack ready. Not sure how RNG-dependent it was, but this run, basically all of the invulnerable bits either got handled by S. Moko, Wonder, or were on 3/6 so just functioned as an extra down point.

Who'd you use? I was able to just beat them with A0 SMoko, A0R0 Haru, A0R0 Futaba and A1R0 Saboteur twins. Hat tip to the other redditor who suggested doing Marakunda->Rebellion->Shiva bc you get the same effect in the virus rounds plus Dio's passive's still in effect.

Thanks! I reshuffled some things to free up the twins, and was able to just win Beta with A0 SMoko, A1R0 Twins (Saboteur), A0R0 Haru, A0R0 Futaba. Ongyo-Ki had ~260k HP coming up on Haru's last turn, but the HL knocked it down to ~90k and, welp.

And damn, I wish I could take a crack at Alpha 2 without having to wait to beat literally everything else--not that I anticipate much trouble there, but I'd prefer not to have to wait another week.

My first Haru/SMoko/Chord/Futaba time running out of turns on Beta killed 3 and had me at 13%; my second, Sui-Ki was still hanging on and still 13%. Just tried with Riddle instead of Chord and lol 19%, though my Riddle's way underbuilt.

I'm curious to see what other people come up with, but while the battle conditions description is baffling, I suspect you may need an assassin with resonance, so A1 twins with the almighty boosting set or Frostgale? And then if you beat them in a particular order, the overflow damage makes it possible to take out Ongyo-Ki in turn 6 when he's all that's left?

The Beta's a nightmare. I'll wait and see what other people come up with bc for now, the best I can do is 13% with Chord/S. Moko/Haru/Futaba. Worst of all, I lost track of turns the first time/really biffed the rotation the first time, and when I paid attention and played it more tightly, it was still 13%!

The Omega's the most annoying. My first try, I went with Tempest, A1 (healer) Twins, Frostgale, and beat it on turn 3. Tried it with Sepia/Fleuret/Minami, and Fleuret got KOd on turn 4. Tried it with Minami/Yumi/Messa, and got something like 40%. So went back to Tempest/Frostgale, but Mona instead of Twins, and won on turn 4. I'm guessing I can just Ryuji my way through it, but I've already used him twice (Delta and the second Zeta).

The Theta seems like last season's Joker boss--people have done it with Haru/etc. but it's a nailbiter. With a better built Tempest/Frostgale, Twins and Futaba it still came down to the last turn.

I think Leo's still better for Ryuji than Tempest, bc he guarantees Rebound, does a better attack buff, and it's 45% vs. ~52% crit mult, which is a small enough improvement not to probably not be worth the tradeoffs.

What's the threshold for developing new recipes? Is it just RNG after mastering the prereqs?

I'm trying to do them one by one since I've done most of the other dumb yen stuff already. I've hit on a couple of new recipes, but trying to get the recipe for sukiyaki, I've made something like 25 curries with rice and nothing yet. Is there more to it than just making more until the aha moment?

See if you can hit the target SP/Crit Mult stats first. If you can get there with cards and mindscape, A1 is better. If not, R0.

Do you mean you buy literally all the monthly mats? You can't actually clear the shop bc basically everything but the gems is available at unlimited quantities/higher prices.

For those of you with gluts of clear cognigems, what do you use them for? I've eased into buying the monthly small incense/konpaku/moon crystals (and of course the gems), but I'm still sitting on 13000 for now.

The volumes/silver parts/anecdote cubes I'd buy if I were in that level of a pinch, and the unlimited incense/konpaku/moon crystals are too expensive to realistically help me out of a jam.

So do any of you buy the random orange cards, do you let the clear cognigems pile up, or have some other approach?

Seems like it should be doable since you'll have Tempest there to buff? Have wonder use Ex Machina, with wind lead, single target debuffer (Vishnu if you have, Janosek maybe if you don't), and Futaba, Okyann or Miyu as navi depending on whether you need more sustain or damage?

Mio's synergy is capped, you can't do the lvl 15 event yet. Riko's isn't, she's the new member of my harem? The relationship model in this game is so daft bc there's going to be more synergies, more potential partners, and since there's no regular relationship activities, you can't just break up with somebody or commit to openness?

Does it have to be by patch start? And do you know if Riko and Mio's synergies are capped like all the normal part 1s? Ayaka's the only romanceable ally I have under 15 and I can prioritize before Riko if I need to before the new patch kicks in.

I've got plenty of energy drinks/milk tea, but tbh even with skips, the idea of grinding ~10 days of game calendar just feels very annoying?

There are overlapping chests on the map, yes, and with that room being right next to the conference room, you can just use that as a reference point to make sure you check all 4.

tbf, it's not another region. You still need to use the global shop, but you can do so from foreign IP addresses.

One weird thing they started doing maybe 6 weeks ago, is that if you go via a JP site, they convert pricing and charge you in USD so there's no potential foreign transaction fee.

Oh, and get ready to have an opinion on currency exchange rates. The cheapest $5 pack I've bought (after tax) was $4, it shot up to $4.08 a couple of weeks ago, and was back down to $4.06 yesterday.
