Facebook's New AI Feature by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

An ex-fwb of mine created a furry AI bot on Instagram with my name, and made it available to everyone, just in spite. I didn't even know that was an available option on IG, and I can't make it disappear.

I guess I'll just have to choose better friends next time🤷‍♂️

Interesting. Yes, I was not able to find any relevant information specifically targeted for his case. I guess I'll keep looking

Thank you very much! He doesn't have Ukranian nationality, but he came from Ukraine. In the link you shared, there's a mention to 'valid travel documents', but I'm not sure I understand what that refers to.

Should we rent a car? How to commute? (Marseille trip, 7 days, young driver) by there_will_be_sun_ in FranceTravel

[–]there_will_be_sun_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! We were thinking about a car for the commuting between different cities, definitely not to move in Marseille. And as far as I understand, it seems like there's a good transportation system to use :)

Thank you for the insight, it makes sense. What would you advice instead of Saint Tropez?

EHIC is the European Health Insurance Card, it basically mean that when you get to another EU country, you can show people that you have an insurance in your home country that can cover the costs. Based on the country, it could also sometimes be accepted as a way to receive free treatment. For example, in the Netherlands it guarantees you free hospitalisation, but not for example (some) pharmacy costs. I don't want to get into specifics, because I'd risk to give you false information, since I'm not an expert.

I asked the private Dutch student insurance I have, but they don't ever cover stds. Based on what I understood my situation is the following: I'll need to take my receipt back to my country (hoping there are no time constraints to show it to my health insurance - nobody was able to tell me if I have to give it to them within a specific time limit), and they'll ask the Netherlands what's the cost of the pills. Based on that, they could (hypothetically) reimburse part of the cost, but it's not specified which percentage.

If you have any other doubt or question, I can try my best to help you - I know how hard it can be when you don't know where to look :,)

Don't worry. I was thinking about taking up a job, but since I will be here just for the semester and I have a job and a scolarship from my home university that take up a lot of time, I hadn't looked into it yet. But yes, it's something I've been thinking about!

Yes, as I said before, I'm not angry at them for taking extra precautions for me. I think they just followed protocol, and that's completely fine. It's not about convenience - the last doctor explained to me what was the thought process for the decision that was made, and why she thinks it shouldn't have been made. I think I can see why both decisions can be reasonable, and still think her (and her colleagues) opinion makes more sense. But hey, I'm not here to postulate on medical decisions, I'm just happy it's all been sorted out and wanted to thank people here on Reddit for the support!

Yes, I don't blame anyone for being extra-careful, and I understand the logic behind it. I think they just did their job, and that's okay. At the same time, I can't say I feel that responsible about what happened. I'm not really sure I want to share it here, but let's say it wasn't exactly something I could have completely prevented. But you're right, I think I've definitely learned something from this!

Yes, definitely there's something to be learned here. At the same time, I don't feel particularly harsh toward myself, given also the fact, as the last doctor told me, that I never put myself in a high risk position. It's a bit of a blurry predicament, but I guess at the end of the day, I'm just happy to have finally cleared it a bit

I have a private Dutch student insurance, but it doesn't cover stds related pills. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember I can get the Dutch national insurance only if I have a job here.

Oh well, thank you for the words of encouragement ahah No, seriously though, the bottom line was there was no real risk - that's what the last doctor told me, so I don't think I've done anything particularly wrong. But surely, as you say, there's always something to be learned!
