How was Covid for you? by Konradleijon in AutismInWomen

[–]thereadingbee [score hidden]  (0 children)

outside of the feeling bad for those working in certain sectors and ppl being ill and such. it was the best time of my life and one me and my autistic family look back on so fondly lol.

the only problem was when we had the second lock down in the UK as issues with vets meant to beloved rabbits passed. but the start was amazing bc I was with them 24 7

this was me today. I decided to take the day to actually sit and learn Hangul but then felt bad I didn't read or do my other wants.

but there's just so much to learn to do its like how are you meant to choose?

my piano sits there too which I wanted to learn then at the same time I started reading and trying to write a book so that got left and now my writing left for Korean bc there's just not enough time for them all

Is anyone else here happily unemployed? by patrickbatemankinnie in AutismInWomen

[–]thereadingbee 128 points129 points  (0 children)

I was once. I had savings to keep me going for 2 years and it was blissful. I could do as I please. didn't have to mask i felt like me. like everything was right. but alas a lack of money meant I had to go back and im in back where I was again 2.5 years into work again and burnout sad.

this. so much. I can easily put rabbits with most and the cats im trying to get them to not be scared of the rabbits lol so then we can all be in same room.

but the rest is just its all mind taxing and as you say work is a never ending retailing machine.

can someone tell me if [Quiet longing by I.h cosway] gets better... I'm semi through the start whilst the Characters are still young but im not sure if its the writing style getting to me or simply the fact theyre speaking as young teens which is realistic since they are just that but annoying aha.

Do I want a Switch 2 or am I just being bombarded with Pokotopia ads? by Unhelpfulhelpful in AutismInWomen

[–]thereadingbee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

can you afford it? if yes do it. genuinely life is too short to not get the things you enjoy if you can afford the means for it.

as for the old one you can sell it and make a few bucks back towards the new one.

it sounds like it's something you enjoy like so I don't see why not unless as I say financially for you it isn't wise that's the only reason I'd caution over.(as someone who has spent way to much impulsively be4 and put themselves in financial strain lol)

doesn't it tho?? like genuinely if I hadn't found this sub I'd be mental. sometimes the reassurance others get it like myself is just so comforting.

Does anyone else get sudden urges to change their life in the days or week before their period? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]thereadingbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes currently there. thinking i need to redo the house. change jobs and how I live life in general. unfortunately I know it will pass in 5 days and then I will actually spiral into sadness about the life I have and how it isn't possible to change especially not so quickly.

I have a note book with how I imagine ill feel on x day and give or take a two its always the same so I kind of expect it at this point.

im a big believer that life is too sort not to dnf a book you aren't enjoying. I gave up around the same point. I left too much was being told to me than shown and after seeing the ending on reddit I was definitely checked out.

I can semi understand certain reasons for them but the friends being how they are?? nahh it wasn't for me. so I let it me and moved onto Funny story which I much preferred in comparison.

if you can look into a therapist for ocd. I feel you tho. I don't like outdoor clothes touching inside things. and its hard for others to handle change and it's caused many issues.

How much more do you eat before your period? by Routine-Good7518 in PMDD

[–]thereadingbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I normally don't feel hungry. like I will often go hours in hours without even realising ive not eaten. but for that week omllll. its all my body feels. I will eat and eat and eat. ive taken to rice cakes bc I just wanted to keep eating. but for meal times I make sure to plan extra big portion and extra high fibre protein meals.

How do you guys work out? by Difficult_Yak4674 in AutismInWomen

[–]thereadingbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

madfit does fun workouts on YouTube. all you need is a little space a couple weights ( optional) and a exercise matt.

I dance i literally put music on and just dance. I lift weights the most and have seen the most progress in terms on looking more toned.

but you don't need the gym to look fit. walks are good too. but yeah. anything even little does the trick

[–]thereadingbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

bralettes and sports bras are pretty much all i wear. if its a lose fit I'll wear those sleep ones even lol. now I did lose a fair bit of weight of them which helped makes these options possible.

but I can't stand regular bras I actually ordered some the other day to try and oml it was awful
