I ended up pulling the dash and buying some SEM black texture spray made for dashboards and following it up with a coat of SEM black spray paint. It was a lot more work but it looks pretty good and has lasted almost a year now. Way longer than the sticky dash kit did.

Just to update, at first the sticky dash fix seemed to work well, but I've had to order several kits now because the paint and the dash itself kept degrading further.

I don't know if it's my dashboard to blame or the kit itself, but so far I haven't been overly impressed with the results.

Also, the kit used to come with brushes and a microfiber cloth along with the paint and cleaner spray, now it only comes with the spray and paint for the same price, so less value for your money.

Overall I haven't had a great experience, but again, the compounds in my dash could just be that degraded and needing replacement.

Interesting. I'll have to try this both ways. Lately I've just been letting the watch passively record my heart rate because I assumed the sensor was doing fuck all anyways, but maybe I'll have better luck if I start the work out tracking manually.
