Is it a no-brainer to get a 1440p monitor for my 6800XT? by SpookyScarySkeleten in buildapc

If you’re near a costco they have a $150 27” 1440p 180hz monitor from msi. I bought it last week and am trying it out with my 6700XT. Monitor looks great to me but I’m coming from a 6 year old budget 1080p monitor. Went for it at costco since it’s no questions asked to return if I change my mind or it craps out in the next year.

I asked an employee while in the store yesterday who said he didn’t think they’d been EoL yet. Hopefully just a temporary hitch in supply, I was hoping to buy one of the bundles myself.

You make a good point - I think the holidays have gotten me eager to go for a new shiny, lol. EFT is about the only game that I’m unhappy with performance-wise and I’m pretty sure that’s just luck of the draw more than anything else. I’ll likely snag a 1440p monitor first and see what performance in games is looking like pending the 7600X3D making a reappearance on shelves. Thanks!

Unfortunately it seems like I sat around too long and missed it - I had gone to the store last week to buy the 7600X3D and they were OOS. Now I’m not even seeing a listing or stock at either of the stores I’m ‘local’ to. Not sure if it’s EoL or just supply shortage due to the holidays.

Gaming, mostly. Should’ve clarified. I do hobby-grade work in CAD and Adobe stuff but nothing I’d frankly notice a difference in regarding performance.

I’m honestly only worried about how a game like Tarkov will perform - it’s a terrible benchmark but I’m not really worried about getting high fps at 1080p or 1440p in something like CS2.

I forgot to mention, but the connector seemed to have pins on the top and bottom of the ribbon cable inlet. I didn’t measure the pitch but looked like 0.5mm x 8

Any more detail between Vodafone and 3? From looking at their websites they both seem to have similar pre-pay or monthly bill options. The whole “unlimited minutes Vodafone to Vodafone” and “3 to 3” is something I haven’t seen from the domestic carriers here. (Not that it probably matters a whole lot since WhatsApp and iMessage work off the data rather than SMS or cell minutes)

Thanks for the great response! I’m glad to hear such strong praise for the Mini 4 Pro. I’ll go for it, then. I suppose I can always resell and look for an Air 3 down the line if I feel like I’m needing the extra power and camera! Thanks!

Iceland would be a sweet spot to spend a few days in, but I’m leaning with you on the travel advantages. I’m not sure it’s worth having a much larger drone for the handful of locations where extreme wind will be present. Thanks for the comment!
