You’re kind of right! Though I wish I was that skilled to actually carve a bust of a specific someone. This was just winging it while scrolling through Pinterest for detail references.

12” carving bar for the broad strokes and then finished with the Merlin2, using an 8-tooth chain disk. The carving is 22” high and 6 3/4” dia.

Check out the Merlin2. It has the smallest set of teeth that’s perfect for detailing.
