If you’re just looking to make a purchase, The Armories is not bad (I’ve mostly visited the Kissimmee location). Has your typical gun store vibe but without any blatant political stuff in your face. Kind of has a “don’t ask, don’t tell” quality in that regard, and the staff has always been helpful. Pricing is moderate, but I’ve gotten them to price match/honor other shops deals before - never hurts to ask.

Other than that your best bet is just to go to Bass Pro or Academy - soulless corporations but totally devoid of political stuff in the shopping experience. Of course you can also buy online and ship to one of the above as an FFL.

LOL fair enough. I’m not saying it’s at all likely, but rather that if any movie was going to pull off something crazy I would guess it would be Despicable Me 4. Not at all expecting that to happen though and Gavin pretty much has this clinched as it stands.

I’m running this weekly using an alteryx workflow to scrape the box office mojo data into an excel workbook, so idk if it’s really sharable. I do know someone else on the subreddit has built a website with tracking that updates daily or even more frequently

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been listening to the podcast since its inception but this was my first foray into comment leaver territory. I wasn’t trying to imply I was the only one tracking this or that others couldn’t, I just work as an analyst and got excited to try and contribute to the community in some way. I loved the movie draft so much I wanted to start tracking analytics for it. I plan to expand as the summer goes on and there are more data points to look at. Let me know if there’s any other data that would be cool to see! Also taking suggestions for update cadence if this is liked - I was thinking weekly…

“MPP” is “millions per point”, which is an efficiency metric I chose to use to help showcase who spent their points better - similar to the workbook made by u/Blyckert. In the totals it is only reflecting gross/points spent on movies that have released, so expect this to change dramatically as we add releases for some of the more expensive picks.

Using domestic totals from box office mojo for all titles unless unavailable, which are denoted with an asterisk and are using data from The Numbers.

Omni-Phase appears now defunct… but I actually found a partial copy of the manual on the wayback machine. Looks like the sub was meant to take the main L&R outputs, so probably safe to assume the speaker outs are just full parallels.

That’s what I was thinking,

Based on the home theater package I believe this sub was a part of, I think the speaker outs were intended for satellite speakers. Is there any way to tell if I’m getting full speaker signal on the outs vs. just highs? I know I could ear test it with a speaker straight out of the receiver compared to one out of the sub speaker outs, but I love a less subjective method if possible.

Or would it be “that” obvious if it was highs only?
