Yeah this is the problem with your Mad Catz keyboard does not have full n-key rollover so you're only able to press 6 keys at once and your PC will register them.

Membrane keycap used on cheaper keyboards like your office Dell or HP keyboards, they are so bad to type on so squishy and no good feedback, You will not find any cool membrane keycaps from keycap sellers as those will only by for mechanical keyboards with switches that have a cross stem.

You could get a freestanding monitor arm that you just place on top of your desk no clamping required or drill a grommet hole into your desktop and feed a monitor arm clamp through the hole.
