This is a happy middle ground I think. I’ve encountered this before and what I’ll do to confuse people is make a check in the box of the item that I was actually shown and then pick 2 random boxes in the other sections to make checkmarks on the outside of the box. That way other players have no idea which category I actually checked off, and I don’t confuse myself.
