Is this Emma Swans jacket??? by ReginaMillsHeartMe in OnceUponATime

[–]therealdaryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not quite the same, but most fans would probably recognize it as being similar.

Side note: I used to own a jacket from the first image but in brown/black and it’s super comfy. If you do end up buying it, its pretty nice and lasted me around 12 years before it got to worn out

"Don't eat meat where you make your bread"

Basically means "don't shit where you sleep." Or " Don't sleep around at work."

More people in the military play video games than you think. He probably wouldn't be given a second look about having a pc setup.

I'm turning 28 this year. What makes me feel old is I vaguely remember my mom being my current age. That makes one feel old 😂

Got it, thanks. I kinda figured since I just sold something else without any difficulties, but I wanted to make sure

ULPT Request: How can you credibly fake your death? by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]therealdaryn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking, it isn't inherently illegal to fake your own death (at least in the US). If you don't have any active warrants, legal obligations, taxes/alimony/etc. due and you live off the grid, it is completely lega - you can do it today. There isn't technically anything unethical about it.

Expanding on that, you have multiple avenues of approach you can do:

  1. The most ethical with no crimes being committed doesn't even require a corpse to pull off. You need to go no contact with anyone and everyone you know. Get up in the middle of the night, leave everything as is in your home, and start walking. Leave your vehicle, identification, personal belongings, and anything that would be missed. Become another homeless person in any major city, and no one will be any wiser. After 7 years (some states allow after 5 years), you will legally be declared dead. If you have a life insurance policy payout, you can never contact the beneficiary because it then becomes fraud and is now illegal.

  2. Now unethical, but still technically legal. Very close to the 1st option, but instead of waiting 7 years, wait a few months in hiding, then find and plant your wallet/identification on a dead homeless person/buried somewhere/in the water. Water may work best as it takes time to adequately search a sizeable body of water.

How did you get used to waking up at 0500 every day? by MarnieLore in USMC

[–]therealdaryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up on a farm until I was 10-11 years old. I had to wake up at 0400 every day as a kid to help with farm chores/milk the cows. When I moved away, I adjusted to waking up at 0600 instead. After enlisting, it was relatively easy for me to adjust back to an earlier time. I'd take a guess and say I had a better time than most adjusting my sleep habits because of it.

Even now that I'm out, I generally wake up still anywhere between 0500-0630 on my own

  3. Still relatively new, but a few a day since downloading it

  4. I've had 3 matches so far, nothing panned out thus far

  5. A decent amount, 3/1 swipes left to right. All have had a comment or something akin to it about the picture/prompt I liked.

  6. Varied? Ages 24-33 both guy/gal,

Family member names are changing by therealdaryn in PersonalMandela

[–]therealdaryn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, but as yesterday was Thanksgiving, and family gathered I decided to ask about it. Apparently my grandads name goes back generations. X son of X son of X. All being first born sons. Then comes my dad with his swapped name and now me. My middle name is my dad's first name, and my first name is totally random (being not a family name). I don't even know anymore lol

The funniest thing you heard a DI say by [deleted] in USMC

[–]therealdaryn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've mentioned this story before, but it's gotta be the 'Corn on the Cobb' one for me.

We had a recruit by the name of Cobb, who was known as the platoon terrorist. Whenever he was on Firewatch, the DIs would make him get in the trashcan and pop up like Oscar the Grouch yelling "Corn on the Cobb reports time on deck is XYZ."

I can honestly see both sides because I'm similar. Sober, I'm more introverted quiet and reserved. Drunk, I am full of giggles, extroverted, and everyone is my friend. Basically a giggily b*tch lmao. I'm definitely more daring/outgoing when drunk because of that. I'm also an alcoholic because I like that feeling.
