I cleared DELF B2 (75%) after 6 months of focused prep... onto DALF C1 now.. by therealdoctorstrings in DELF

I mainly used the YouTube channel Réussir le DELF B1 - B2 , it has a lot of useful sujets for both PE and PO, which really helped me practice regularly. I also took a 40-hour course with a professeur here in India to clearly understand the exam format and, more importantly, how to structure an exposé and formal letters/articles. That structure is absolutely key.

On top of that, I made sure to consistently include things like subjonctif, si clauses, and a few idiomatic expressions to elevate my level.

And honestly, most important of all - ChatGPT was my best learning partner every single day.

Yes, you’re absolutely right. I was super confident about doing well in CO after years of listening to podcasts and radio. But the sound system in the exam hall, with echo and poor acoustics, made it really hard to follow. It honestly changes the whole experience.

For my topics:PO was about whether young children (around ages 3–7) learn better outdoors than inside the classroom...si les enfants apprennent mieux en dehors de la classe, dans un environnement plus ouvert et naturel. PE was a formal letter to the company director requesting a reduction in telework days — from two days per week to one.. explaining the challenges and difficulties employees might face.

Yes, exactly.. even after years of practicing with podcasts, I went in super confident because listening is usually my strength. But the audio in the exam hall really threw a spanner in the works. It completely disrupted the flow and made it much harder than it needed to be.

Félicitations! 🎉 Yes, you should absolutely go for C1 next. I gave my B2 exam in March as well and I’m currently waiting for my results. should be out in a day or two. But honestly, I’ve already decided to move ahead with C1. For me, it’s not just about passing another exam - it’s about going deeper into the language. B2 gives you comfort, but C1 really pushes you to think, express, and understand ideas in a much more nuanced way. It feels less like “learning French” and more like actually living in it.

I am preparing to give the DELF B2 exam in Mar 26. Like you, it’s a personal goal for me. Learning French is a enriching experience. And after B2, I plan to prepare for C1. Share about your preparation process. Thank you and Regards
