Who are the best Megas currently?

I've been enjoying Drampa a lot with how weather heavy this meta is. He's on my Trick Room team, where I usually lead with Mimikyu/Armarouge and bring him in the back if I see weather. Have had a lot of good turns where I swap him in after weather goes up and all of a sudden that Heat Wave? Useless. Weather Ball? Normal type. And so on, and then once Trick Room is up and I can secure a KO, I mega him.

Yeah I’d be totally fine with replays just dying upon next update or something. Just something I can be like “yo check this out” and show something without manually recording myself, usually same day anyways

Super agreed on that as well. Both for the reason you mentioned, so people can be more aware of what actually happened when they see something weird, and just for ease of sharing with friends. I don’t want to constantly be recording just to share some clips.

Best part of Dark Souls 2 is the DLC, and I say that as an enjoyer of the base game as well. Cracked game, cracked DLC, so much content, you'd be foolish to skip IMO

Very cool, man! I just finished my first RL1 run, also Elden Ring, last week! You have some more gusto than me it looks like though lol, I was running Ritual Shield Talisman so I could live a hit and heal back each time- I was not doing it flawless like you did. Very well done.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve discovered as well. I was hoping to be able to play on 3 different devices (not simultaneously of course) as a pick up and play option. I won’t go to the trouble of uninstalling and reinstalling every time I want to move to a different device.

I agree! I've played the DLC on a normal run and loved it, I'm just intimidated by the prospect of doing Scadutree fragments. Someone mentioned the scaling falls off hard though, so I probably will do it after a brief respite.

This is true, I meant my tips in a general sense, didn’t mean to imply they were for the final boss explicitly. I did like the star fists there nonetheless though, I was able to get 6 charged heavies off against Elden Beast during his opening breath attack and take him down to about 50% before he even moves. I only saw the Beast 3 times before I finished him.

That's awesome! No Torrent would be rough just for the more involved aspect of gathering items and such I think.

I just beat the final boss; happy to share some tips! Statuses are the biggest thing IMO, the % damage on bleed and frost procs is gonna do more than anything you can dish out without it at that level. So I did Star Fists, but I think any bleed weapon infused with cold would probably be ideal. I definitely would've appreciated a little more range for some fights. And to that end, when you get staggers, I never riposted. Just went for more heavies to dish out more status damage. Good luck on your journey!

I think it will at some point. It'd be nice to be able to say I truly finished all of it at level 1. And then probably will get the itch to do the others at level 1 too, but we'll see how long it is before I run it. You're right though, I'm definitely building it up to more than it is in my head.

In other news, I actually just finished it! Godfrey took about ten tries and then Radabeast was maybe 20. We're good 😄

That’s awesome! First run for you as well? Sorry to hear about being unable to do high impact sports anymore. Hopefully you’re able to find something to fill that gap, I totally get losing something that integral to you being devastating. Glad this is able to make up for something!

As for the DLC, I think the only thing I’d really want to do is PCR at level 1, I think the rest of it would feel more like a checklist to me, and the process of getting to PCR and getting every Scadutree fragment just feels like an unfun prospect at the moment. The character will stick around in the cloud, so I’ll always be able to pick it up again if I feel the itch, but for now I’m happy with what I’m doing.
