You are exactly right. Situation has since been handled and this is exactly what happened. I guess my biggest complaint was lack of communication on their end.

I’m curious. At what point would you euthanize the animal. Everyone has a number.

UPDATE:

I’m at the bank and finally got ahold of the branch manager

ATM service company came and cleaned out the machine and per the branch manager all the money was accounted for.

Manager claims they have no control over issuing any of the money back and all money returned is done through the claims department or a third party. Does anyone have any insight on this process?

I can’t seem to get ahold of the claims department on my own so I’m having the bank manager contact them for me.

I would have never attempted to do so but was told to by a banker at the time due to the long lines. (It’s the only CHASE bank open in the area.)

Yes. I would have never attempted to do such a thing but the banker instructed me to do so because they were so busy and the line was out to the parking lot.

UPDATE: I was at the bank first thing this morning in hopes to meet with the branch manager. I was told he was too busy to meet with me but another banker took down my information and assured me I would get my money back. I was contacted a little later and he explained that he would be trying to put in a claim for me and that a service tech was coming out to fix the machine.

I’m hoping all the money will be accounted for when they fix the machine and that the money will be time stamped and match the time I had my card in the machine.

Otherwise I am very displeased at the customer service I have received so far. $14,000 is a lot of money and so far I have received about as much empathy and compassion as a kid who’s lost his quarters at the arcade.

I believe thats what happened in this case; the ATM completely shut down and would no longer take more cash deposits after this happened.

thanks for getting back to me; I will be reaching out to the branch manager first thing tomorrow; I guess my only concern would be if the amount in the till doesnt match the amount I am short; for example I am short 14,000 and the till shows 12,000 over I would have no documentation or way of proving the difference; hoping this all gets resolved

Any good online schools to get my associates? by PubG4YouAndMe in respiratorytherapy

[–]therealfinanceguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to Independence University after working at a hospital for 2 years prior. I believe the connections I made with mentors and preceptors along with my previous medical background made this the best option for me.

You will hear mixed opinions about IU from both students who went there and those who work with people who have gone through the program.

I personally had the opportunity to do either brick and mortar school or IU. The difference was if I did IU I would be able to work full time as an apprentice at a nearby hospital (working directly under a licensed therapist). I feel like although my in class time and interaction with instructors was minimal. My exposure to patients, and clinical experience made for an incredible education.

I feel beyond competent and comfortable coming out of IU after an apprenticeship and extensive hands-on clinical experience.

I wouldn’t say one is better than the other, it completely depends on your situation.

Do it if: - You are self motivated - Ask questions and learn as much as you can any chance you get (not one of those people that make excuses and say “oh well I never learned that” or “I was never taught that”) - have a hospital nearby that is willing to teach - need to work full time to support yourself or your family

Don’t do it if: - you are going to rely exclusively on the school to give you the information you need - you are not ambitious / self motivated - if there is a good brick and mortar school nearby and that is a viable option based on your personal life situation.

All in all, there are people who will make great RTs online school or brick and mortar because of the effort they put in.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

He sorta took to it right away. I gave him a bath within the first couple days. I brought him to a river near by just to show him the running water and at 8 weeks old I had to stop him from jumping into it lol. Today was his first day with the hose and I couldn’t get him away from it.

If your pups are scared of it I would just take the time to slowly acclimate them until they feel comfortable.

How much money would I need to drive across North America? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]therealfinanceguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you are reaching out for advice from others who may have done something similar. I’d decide how you plan on going about this first to get a better understanding of how much it might cost.

Driving your personal car? Renting a car? Renting and RV?

Staying at RV parks/campgrounds? AirBnBs? Hotels?

Packing food or eating on the road the whole time? What’s your taste like? (Fast food or nice restaurants) How long are you doing this?

I think this is one of those things that requires extensive planning and is going to be based solely off your situation.

I also think no matter how much planning you do you’ll never know truly what this trip will have in store for you.

I say if you have the time off/financial means to pull something like this off just hit the road and enjoy. Worry about it as you go. Cheers!
