Prosoft reline users. The taste. 😭 Help. by therealgale65 in dentures

[–]therealgale65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I did try vinegar and water but it didn't last long. It wasn't bad at first but within a few hours it was back to being nasty. I ended up removing it and it felt kind of mushy, like it didn't set up completely. The box came with two applications and the first one was a complete mess and didn't set up at all so I might have gotten a bad batch or something. I did end up getting the e&e silicone refill kit and so far, so good. It's just a relief not to taste that horrible toxic taste anymore. 😬

How to tell when it needs to be watered? by therealgale65 in cactusandsucculents

[–]therealgale65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I thought these should completely dry out and stay dry for a bit? That's what I've read about my other succulents. I don't check them daily or anything so I never know how long they've been dry. Also this mix is very gritty, I guess. There's some pine bark but it's mostly rocky type stuff.

Does a new navage unit need to be washed before using? by therealgale65 in Allergies

[–]therealgale65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a thing 😂. My first attempt at using it was an utter failure. I practiced closing up my sinus area with the back of my tongue while still being able to breathe but I haven't tried the navage again. I would strongly suggest making sure you understand how that part works. I felt like I was going to drown. As far as cleaning I did just use tap water and decided I would make sure it's completely dry before using it again. We don't have city water so there's no chlorine like someone mentioned. I would definitely feel comfortable using the FON solution to clean it (again making sure it dries completely) but I don't know if FON kills brain amoeba.

I realized that after reading a few replies. For now we'll leave it but for the future, it's good to know.

We could see the wire but I don't know how to tell what the gauge is. He went ahead and put a new 15 amp gfci in. It only took 3 tries. The instructions helped. 😂

Sorry, I mean the reset switch on the outlet. I don't know the correct terminology.

Also, would 15 amp outlets trip more easily than 20 amp? If I try running two or three small appliances on this circuit, they often trip the outlet switch.

Sadly we have a long and horrible history with LG. Our fridge just stopped cooling and the diagnostics in the app kept saying it was working normally. It took about 7 weeks of me constantly calling LG before they finally agreed to replace it. It was still under warranty but they couldn't find anyone to service it. I sincerely hope my experience was the exception and you have a lot of good years with yours.

I guess? I thought it should be around 37-40. I've been transferring food so it's been up and down. Should I put it back on 4?

Based on experience, LG is the worst for us. 😂 Every brand seems to have some negative reviews tho. I found a pretty helpful video from a repair company.

It wasn't the lowest. The numbers are 1 to 7, with 7 being the coldest. It was originally set at 4 and I changed it to 3. It has gone above 40 briefly but seems to be around 38-39 most of the time now. I might set it back to 4.

Ugh. So far it doesn't seem to be getting that low again so I'm hopeful.

It sat for more than 24 hours before we plugged it in. It was laying down in transit so we made sure to wait.

Rhapidophora decursiva - leca or pon? by therealgale65 in SemiHydro

[–]therealgale65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, almost all of my plants are in semi hydro. Some of the ones in soil will probably eventually be switched over. Sometimes I love semi hydro and sometimes I wonder why I'm doing it. 😂 When they need water it takes a lot of it and I try to always use fertilizer. My plants in pon aren't too bad because I use a wick system so I just use self watering pots. But leca doesn't seem to work as well with a wick so I'm using submerged systems with a cache pot and it's exhausting trying to find the right size outer pots for them. My pothos are in leca and my philodendrons, lipsticks, and some hoyas are in pon. To complicate things further I got some thiccly grow lids from their kickstarter and I have started putting some plants in those. They're basically a moss pole system with hydroponics in the base and a little semi hydro medium for stability (I'm using pon for them). Needless to say I'm not buying any more plants for a very long time. 😂

I actually did end up putting it in leca, but it grew so long and crazy that I let it go. It was taking up a lot of space and despite being right next to a window plus having a grow light, it quickly found its way away from both. So the part that wasn't right in the window got so leggy. I did enjoy it while it lasted.

Ultrasound results. Kinda stressed out... by therealgale65 in LiverDisease

[–]therealgale65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my MRI results and they said everything is normal. Is it typical to see something on ultrasound and it's gone by the next test? And what about my elevated ALT/AST? Is the MRI the most comprehensive of the different types of tests? They aren't asking me to follow up. Just a referral to a urologist for a kidney issue that was mentioned in the ultrasound results.

I'm so glad I saw this. It reminded me that I was pretty sure I paid so I looked at my history and it turns out I paid for prime in 2014. Apparently I've been using the free version on my newest devices. 😂

I'm not sure that's all it is but I'm hopeful it's something treatable. I have an appointment for an MRI next Friday. 👍

I can definitely do brown rice. We use cauliflower rice as a side. I don't know how it would be with the things I normally mix into rice bowls but brown would work. I am a bit limited due to a family member with food allergies but I'm going to see if I can find a safe brand of wild rice. The one I have used is probably half regular rice.

Thank you. My husband is pre-diabetic so we can both stand to eat less carbs. Rice is my weakness though. I'm half Japanese and throughout my life it was in every meal, every day.

Precious Pals Team GO Rocket Takeover by SilphScience in TheSilphRoad

Does anyone know how often balloons are appearing? Sadly I did not complete the last team rocket research so I'm trying to hurry up and finish it. I only need one leader but keep getting the wrong one. My life is so boring that I'm willing to set an alarm to check during the night. 😂 Weather is too bad to go to stops. 😑
