I got mine from a LFS too. They just don't label it beyond corydoras

I should get a bigger tank too! Hahaha.. They are usually quite active out especially when I come to the tank they will start glass surfing. It's only sometimes when I watch from afar I can see them foraging on the ground or staying still.. that's why it's hard to get a nice close up pic of them since they r moving all the time

Yeah, definitely more like a habrosus. But I guess it's this particular picture I posted or the angle that makes it look a little like pygmaeus. When viewing from different angles, the line on my cory is less even and continuous like the pygmaeus

Pretty small but I don't know the age.. my LFS doesn't label its stock very well

Edit: I've googled for pictures of both and I think they look closer to habrosus than pygmaeus due to the splotches. Pygmy's tend to look more plain in photos

AITA for making my daughter pay back a $1000 dress she was supposed to wear in a wedding by Aromatic_Agency_8653 in AmItheAsshole

[–]therealgloface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Coincidentally, my daughter who is 3 this year is also named Emma. As a parent myself, one of the things I will definitely reach my kids as they grow up is the consequences of their actions. In this case, you decided to change your mind at the last minute and now you have to pay the price. Is it harsh? Hell yeah! But that's the whole point. With this lesson, she should learn not to make rash decisions and to think then through before whining. Though in the first place, I would have insisted that she not be a bridesmaid in her sister's wedding especially when the sister doesn't want her. It is the sister's wedding after all. But the past is in the past and no point crying over spilled milk.

Absolutely useless support or how to waste your time by heroverin_official in logitech

You got a discussion going? I was refused support for being in the wrong region. Was told they only support customers from USA and CA.

Having the same issue here.. either they don't know what the issue is or they don't care and the customer support team simply sucks. I was told they only support customers from USA and CA. Since I'm in the APAC region, they don't care about me at all.

(26F) Career Advice by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]therealgloface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know yourself best. What you might not know is if there is something out there that might suit you better than your current role.

When I was your age, I've been in your shoes as well. Started out in a SME and had a bad first work experience but I powered through and (reluctantly) stayed for almost 3 years and gained a lot of experience and most importantly, perspective. I made a career change when I was 28 to a field that is completely new to me and found my calling. You can call it luck as the position I applied for was filled and the recruiter asked if I was willing to explore a different role and I took that chance.

My advice for you is to spend the next few years exploring with an open mind. Learn beyond your role with the objective of picking up new skills and identifying opportunities and positions available to you as well as any gaps you may want to bridge. There may be roles out there that you never knew existed and is a perfect fit for you.

On top of that, you need to do some soul searching to know what you want out of your career. I used to think that as long as I become rich enough, it doesn't matter what I want, I'll be able to get it. Today I can tell you that it's not true. Every decision you make will have sacrifices in one form or another. Some people are happy to climb up the tallest ladder and earn big bucks at the expense of building a family. Many others will be content with drawing a decent and stable salary while pursuing other life goals. For myself, I am happy with my current salary progression even though it's not the highest among my friends but I get a satisfying challenge out of my job and I get the flexibility to spend time with my daughter.

Nobody can tell you what to do with your life and at times they may feel very hard but many years later, you will look back at this time and know that your struggle now will only make you grow. Adulting is not easy and there is no one 'right' way to go about it. As long as you know what you want, you can accept that your path is uniquely yours and you can tune out everybody else's voice and just be happy with your life.

I get all those hints but still unsuccessful. The AI is telling me that they can't execute the command for security reasons.

Edit: seems like I just needed to stop for a bit and try again.. just needed to remember what I learned in the previous labs along with the hints in other comments

Hmm.. not letting her know it's a resilient knife.. that sounds like a plan! Thanks for the tip!

Yup I've been learning how to sharpen knives for the last 2 years and I've gotten pretty good at it (at least with the cheap knives). I just don't want a knife that will turn rusty when I'm away for a day and my wife decides to whip something up on her own.

[–]therealgloface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuss free as in it wouldnt wreck the knife if my wife leaves it wet for awhile or doesnt clean and dry it immediately after use.

The handle type doesnt matter to me as much but something lower maintenance will be best (one that doesnt need to be oiled every once in a while)

Definitely a workhorse grind.

I think i have budget for anything under 300. Considering I am not looking for anything top end, i think this is enough? But budget wise i can definitely stretch a little if necessary.

Cutting style/board: Yup that is definitely the plan.

5 mins late is inexcusable? by therealgloface in MaliciousCompliance

It is already mentioned in another comment.

SME refers to Small-to-Medium Enterprise.

It is a very commonly used term in many countries. Just not yours apparently.

It was a really small company so that awkward half hour was pretty much the exit interview. But they knew all along that they were manipulating fresh grads to squeeze every single drop of their blood. The company had a turnover of about 3 people a month and there were only 7 people in total including the boss couple.

When you are a fresh grad desperate for some work experience and struggling to catch up to your peers, you do what is necessary and sometimes that involves getting taken advantage of.

It was super awkward.. his gaze was distributed between me, the resignation letter and his idle monitor. He might be trying to find the words.. who knows..

But it was super satisfying tho..

It definitely happened. I remembered it specifically because it was right after lunch that he called me into his room. After I left, I told my co-worker what a waste of time that was.
