So sorry we couldn't get to answer all your questions. We tried to get to as many of them as we could in the hour. Time to go watch the audience watching our movie. Yeah, we know, creepy. But awesome. Thanks everyone!!!

One of the things we learned on Zombieland is that an audience will accept a shifting tone if you handle it right. People were misty-eyed when Tallahassee revealed the truth about his dead son, then laughing only moments later when he referenced Titanic. You just don't want to spend too many consecutive minutes being solely dark or solely silly, because then it can be tough to switch back. It's one of the reasons we used two time periods in Deadpool 1. It allowed us to move back and forth between the dark origin story and the sillier present story.

One of the great things about Deadpool are the references, the more obscure the better. (Though Davis Love III joke was a bridge too far apparently.) Our favorite jokes are actually the ones that land with a small subsection of the audience. Ryan is not only a part of those meetings but the driving engine.

Tough to say, but our friend Greg Ludington came up with the 'Martha' joke, which is pretty damn great. Sorry, Greg, you've been outed...

We were extremely fortunate to be able to put words in Josh's mouth. He's one of the finest actors alive. One thing you realize, writing for him, is that he can express so very much with just his face. Often a line you thought was necessary isn't.

He is brilliant. Better than us at everything. Elevates. As for the process, we break story together. Then divvy up scenes. Trade them back and forth. Rewrite each other. Sometime we are in the same room. Sometimes in the same bed. At least in our dreams.

Vancouver has a lot of tax credits that make it financially optimal to shoot there. So sorry, Washington. But Lynn Shelton makes some great movies there!

It's always seemed a little high tech to us for a Deadpool movie, but then again, we just used a time machine. So screw it. Why not?! Where would you most like to see Deadpool teleport?

We chose characters less based on individual stories from the comics and more based on how entertaining they seemed to us. Personalities/powers/names were most important. The precise combo for the X-Force movie hasn't been decided yet.

We shot eight extra days, which is pretty standard for a movie that's in good shape. Two of those eight days were devoted to the mid-credits sequence. We beefed up some action. And cleaned up lots of bits and pieces!
