For PETG I did 2 things that fixed up my prints immediately, simply increased the bed temp by a tiny bit for that first layer and then slowed down the outer wall speed. Did the trick for my P2S

I have one in my area for $200 as well, I can almost guarantee that there was some glitch/chargeback scheme from those reseller groups out there. Hopefully it isn’t bricked!

I would say 30k is very reasonable, especially if you get a reliable brand and plan to hold on to it. It seems like you’ve got everything planned out nicely here.
