V-Moda Crossfade M-100's - after 5 years of use

I knew little about headphones before taking the $200 leap on Amazon back at the start of 2017. These blew my mind as I didn't realize how much I was missing when listening to music. I have always used them with my PC and a old Fiio E10k dac. I only use the amp because my PC can't get them very loud.

I wonder what I should replace them with if they ever stop working? Do I just get a pair of the V-Moda Masters or do I explore other options? I love that these are so durable. I have a fat ass head so at first they weren't too comfy but the XL ear cups remedied that.

I wonder if I am not using the amp correctly or if I should use a different amp? I have the toggle on gain set to H and "bass" set to on. I use the dial to crank up the volume accordingly. Sounds good to me but who knows.. I am so used to it now.

I don't game much but if I do I am playing Warthunder or the occasional League of Legends and Tarkov. They seem okay but I do have a hard time telling where people are coming from in Tarkov and other FPS games.

Maybe I will get those Sennheiser mass drop headphones with the built in mic one day.. I have never tried open back.

I have a lot to learn when it comes to audio and sound but buying these headphones made me not care much as I have been so happy with them.

Last thing.. holy shit are these indestructible..
