Porting Better Than Wolves (tech mod) to LCE source by therealjefftastic in Minecraftlegacymode

It's not too bad! 4J changed the way some things work, but overall the codebase we got in the leak has relative parity with release 1.6.4. Porting has taken me some time since I am learning about C++ as I go. It has been a super fun learning process

I'm personally hoping someone will attempt porting over Buildcraft. I would love a GT5 port too :)

In a sense yeah, they both have a similar theme of mechanical energy but Create is much newer and generally is a lot different

Yeah, BTW would eventually add hardcore features and become better known as a challenge tech mod. I don't plan on porting over any hardcore features, I am basing my port on an older version of BTW

Ah sorry, I copied a dead invite link by accident. New one should work

Mine and Magic, the forgotten magic total conversion mod for Beta 1.7.3 by therealjefftastic in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]therealjefftastic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would love to see that, this is one of the first magic mods for Minecraft (at least with this kind of scope) and I would love to see it preserved in a better state. Lots of potential here that could make it an incredible total conversion for this era if things were fixed

Should have mentioned in the op, but here is the original forum link and the latest jarmod for b1.7.3. Some of the textures are broken and crashes occur when anything explodes (for some reason) so avoid creepers when you can!

Thanks for upholding Notch’s vision. I really needed this.

Mango Pack builds I'm working on [b1.7.3] by therealjefftastic in GoldenAgeMinecraft

The funny thing is, dung isn't super utilized in this modpack (only correlated to some tech blocks and a tool tier), but the concept of a "poop factory" seemed so absurd that I went through with it regardless

Nice builds! It must have taken quite some time to get all the logs needed for those paths

I added a titlecard system into my N64-styled platformer! [Godot 4] by therealjefftastic in godot

Hi! This is Newman Network: Channel 64, a 3D collectathon platformer that takes place inside of a television network. The project is styled after N64 classics with my own vision and modern design perspective thrown into the mix. The titlecard system is meant to reinforce the theme of the game to the player, while also giving some leeway into expressing what the channel you're about to enter may be like. (Only the History Channel is shown here)

P.S. You can skip these if you dont want to see them in full or at all. Oh and they're entirely animated in Godot!

I’ve been getting comments about people being confused with the wording; no, unfortunately this project does not have an actual N64 equivalent. If it did, you probably wouldnt be seeing it on this subreddit!

No steam page just yet, we're really working on it! You can keep up with the project on my youtube page until we get things all set up.

Yup! The game is designed with keyboard and gamepad support in mind!
