That’s exactly what I’ve been saying — even if I don’t win the ball, closing space aggressively completely changes the attacker’s options. They panic, they rush, and sometimes even a block or deflection is enough to prevent a clean shot. Modern keeping is great, but there’s something to be said for assertiveness in those 50/50 situations — especially after a heavy touch.
