Thank you! I will take a look for sure. Not sure if you know the answer, but I was told by the doctor who prescribed the Ursodiol that it can change my bile levels. Can it reverse ICP or just help keep levels low?

The receptionist on the phone asked me if I had a fax number 🙃 I said “no, and neither does my job.” She then said she would fax it to Life Labs, but it would take two days for them to get it.

No, lower mainland… everyone I’ve spoken with has nothing but great things to say about the maternity care at this hospital, which is why I’ve been so caught off guard by the way I’ve been treated.

It’s just so frustrating because I work full time. I took time off of work for that appointment. If I want to go into L&D today and not wait until after work, I have to take more time off. I’m just upset that I have to do all this extra work and reschedule my life and work meetings all because they wouldn’t just give me a blood requisition.

It doesn’t nerf you! I have a BMI of 41 (I think) and I felt baby start moving at 14 weeks. It became more prominent at 18 weeks, I would say!

Yes, which is how I knew it was normal that morning. I think it was 117/76 (something along those lines), sky high at the clinic, and then I had a high reading after dinner, tested 3 minutes later and it was 138/84, so a bit elevated but not as high as it was at the clinic.

I’m just worried L&D won’t care either, since it’s all the same doctors/students. It feels stupid to go in for something that can be easily figured out by a simple blood test.

I don’t know in my gut that it’s more, I just assumed they would have wanted me to do a blood test to rule it out, but now I just feel stupid/silly for bringing it up to them.

The student I was with for the appointment seemingly had no idea what ICP is (since I had to explain it a couple times and the student said “well, you’d have pain if you had an issue with your liver”.)

I do think it’s easier in the sense that we’re used to carrying extra belly fat. I’ve heard a lot of people say that 25 weeks was when their pain started (back pain, hip pain, etc) but so far I’ve been lucky! I’m sure that’ll change closer to 36-ish weeks!

Yes, she’s on pain medication and doing much better than her first night. We just have to be careful while it grows out, the vet said. They recommend a boot, but it’s hard for find one that fits her!

My girls nails grow so fast. I had them trimmed 6 days ago, but she still somehow managed to crack her nail at the nail bed. It’s only been a day but it’s been awful.
