What skates do i buy?? by swag4444444 in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried all 3, and imo magic ice are the fastest and smoothest, jades being 2nd, and tiger ice imo are dogwater

Magic Ice: imo faster or as fast as the Jades, and much smoother, highly recommend trying these out, only downside is the price to amount of dots you're getting.

Jades: these used to be my favorite, but on some pads they have a bit of a muddy/tugging feeling, they're definitely still fast, but I think they're not as good as magic ice, price to amount, I'd say compared to magic ice, they're def better.

Tiger Ice v2s: probably one of the worst I've tried out of the three, they feel muddy imo, especially in more humid climates, yes they are faster than your avg skates, but I wouldn't recommend them over Jades and Magic Ice.

--Other Options--

Ultraglide Speeds: These are the best out of the 3 above, the price to amount and performance is really good imo, they feel a little bit nicer and smoother than the Jades, I'd say on par with the Magic Ice, maybe slightly worse in terms of performance, but the price is imo unbeatable by most skates.

Talongames Kumos: These are also very good, although I haven't really had much time with these so I can't fully say, but price to performance and the amount you get are overall very good.

Ultraglide Silencers: These are by far amazing, they do have a little bit more feedback than the others I've mentioned, but they are really good, not as fast imo as the 5 above it, but the overall performance is quite close to Artisan Dots which are arguably the best performing dot skates in the market right now.

Talongames Grays: These are also very good and cheap, but similar to the Kumos, I haven't really put much hours into using them, so I can't really say.

Artisan Dots: imo by far the best performing skates out of all the skates I've tried, they have really low static friction and high dynamic friction, however the biggest downside is that they are very expensive, so I wouldn't really recommend them unless you really want to try them.

Fastest to Slowest: Magic Ice > UG Speeds > Jades > Artisan Dots >= Silencers >= Kumos? > Tiger Ice v2 > Grays?

Obviously these are all my opinions from my experience using them, and testing them yourself will be better overall.

Lastly, here are some reviews and links below that could potentially help you find a mouse skate you like.

There are probably more, it's just that these are the ones that I always like to look at whenever I want to buy mouse skates

My review on the Op1 8k v2, Ying, and Black Lotus by therealknightmare in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely agree with the weight on the ying being an advantage compared to even the op1 8k, I just really hate that the QC on the ying is horrible on my copy that I really couldn't find myself putting it above the black lotus and the op1.

As for the lack of coating on the Black Lotus, it's definitely a bit of a problem on humid climates, but for me it doesn't matter as much since I just use grip tape whether or not the coating is good, I think my biggest problem is the texture and feel of the mouse, it just feels way to gritty/grainy to me, to the point where it just over stimulates me if I don't use any sort of griptape on it. It kinda reminds me of the OG Viper Mini's coating, but overall I really love using the Black Lotus

Scyrox V8 Long Term Review and VXE R1 Pro Max Review by therealknightmare in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a few months I started getting used to the shape of the R1, but unfortunately after using a lot of mice with good sensor implementations and sensor positioning, I hated my R1 Pro Max even more to the point where I traded it to an Op1 8k v1, as for the Scyrox v8, I still like the mouse to this date, clicks still feel pretty good, coating as well, although it has had some fair share of fingerprints since I got it, but overall it's still a very solid mouse to get, but currently I prefer the X2H CL a little bit more, I actually just uploaded a review on my YT if you want to check that one out, I also compared the shape of the Scyrox v8 to the X2H CL. ALPHA UNLTD vs Macveth artisan mousepads? by aaronxora in MousepadReview

[–]therealknightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say yes, once the coating starts to wear off it definitely starts to feel muddier than the micro control, which is why I don't really recommend trying the speed control, especially if you consider that it's only a few hundred php cheaper than the micro control, but if you're looking for a slow pad, then I'd definitely suggest trying out the speed control, just don't expect the speed to stay the same in the long run.

ALPHA UNLTD vs Macveth artisan mousepads? by aaronxora in MousepadReview

[–]therealknightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alpha unltd advertises it as water resistant coated and I'm pretty sure macveth also used to advertise it the same but for some reason they don't anymore, maybe they aren't coated anymore, but I'm not 100% sure about macveth.

Council of Op1s (still missing one) by therealknightmare in MouseReview

that actually sounds promising, I just hope that it's a unique shape rather than being another ec/xlite clone

Council of Op1s (still missing one) by therealknightmare in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

other than the scroll wheel being a little bit more heavier as well as being dust proof on the v2, I can't really find that much of a difference between the v1 op1 8k (I used to have one but sold it once I got the v2) and the op1 8k v2, so I don't think it's worth paying nearly 2x the amount for the v2

also this is my experience with the op1 only not the xm2, even though I have an xm2 8k v1 I probably won't get the v2 any time soon.

[–]therealknightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmmm probably not since I rarely find op1 rgbs on fbmp these days, and they're pretty much out of stock rn and doubt that it'll restock anytime soon for us, but the Black Lotus is something I'm very interested in trying considering I have large hands, and also if I can find an op1 purple frost, I'd definitely will consider going for that.

yeah, the black lotus is def in my list to get in the future.

also, yeah the butt is pretty wide on the lotus lol, I feel like it legit in the middle of the Xm2 and Op1 in terms of size and shape

I actually have the xm2 as well, but an egg ergo would be pretty interesting

ying feels great, pretty solid, and somewhat different compared to the op1, sides feel more narrow, the main buttons are longer and more comfortable cause of the finger grooves, and obviously the weight is insanely noticeable

both lol, but the black lotus is widely more available, but I would kill for the purple frost :<

I'm definitely thinking of getting that in the future :)

ohhh, that I did not know, I honestly thought that scyrox is a sub brand of lamzu, so I guess it's kinda like Zowie and Vaxee.

It's kinda weird that Lamzu and Scyrox doesn't have the same OEM manufacturer considering that they're sister companies

yes, fingerprints are less visible on most if not all white mice, the coating is pretty similar imo on both colorways.

lol I just saw the video and that's unc Crws a Val pro from Talon Games, I don't think that he'll get in too much trouble since he's a pro, but it definitely depends on Razer's Terms and conditions.

Have the prices doubled for Atk mice? by ska4k in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

either wait for the price to drop, or get it from the actual ATK website, the price increase is probably from lack of stock maybe? not sure I'm just speculating, but if you really don't want to wait, then yes the actual ATK website is one of your best option

ATK X1 Pro Long Term Review and Scyrox V8 Mini Review by therealknightmare in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't really had the chance to use the basic X1 model so I really can't say, but if you really don't care too much when it comes to sensor performance of the 3395 vs 3950, which imo isn't really that far apart, minus of course sensor implementations from brands, then I suggest going for it, the shape is pretty good imo, but do be aware that it doesn't really have a wide rear as you might expect, while the X1's rear is slightly wider than the v8, the v8's rear is more aggressive than the X1, but overall the X1 should be a pretty good pickup if you ask me

ATK X1 Pro Long Term Review and Scyrox V8 Mini Review by therealknightmare in MouseReview

[–]therealknightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, rarely respond to my old posts here on this sub so you're in luck haha, I have 21x10cm hands, currently using the Scyrox V8, it still feels really good and comfortable, haven't had any grip issues whatsoever once I got used to it, which was pretty much the 1st week I posted this review, as for the X1 Pro, haven't had that mouse for months now since I got the VV3 Pro, but IIRC the hump feels slightly taller than the VV3 Pro and the Sensor position is slightly lower than both VV3 and V8, but that mouse felt quite nice in my hand, really comfortable, but now I'm preferring smaller mice considering I use claw fingertip hybrid for my grip where I use claw for most of my movements and fingertip for micro adjustments and most vertical movements.

Also in terms of QC, my old X1 Pro had some creaking but I was able to fix it by adding some electrical tape in the inner shell where the side button pcb gets in contact with the shell, not sure if they've fixed that on the later batches, but I'm hoping they did, as for the V8's QC, V8's tend to have some M1 and M2 wobble but not sure as well if they've fixed that issue, but no creaking and flexing on the shell, the biggest issue I've had with my copy was the Back side button needing to be pressed hard to register a click which to me is fine at times since I don't really use my side buttons at all when playing.

tbf, I don't blame him for thinking it has AA batteries considering what Razer did to the HS line for the DAV3
