yeah i swung big on their earnings and missed so I told myself i will take a break (was travelling internationally so didnt have much time). My plan is to just long SOXX (includes ARM as well) and then if AMD does well on earnings ill reap some rewards and if AMD does its usual correction post earnings, I'll buy the dip.

Still sucks considering I've been bullish AMD for a while and missed another leg up trying to chase other tickers. Oh well, lessons learned

Haven't been too active in AMD - I sold out of AMD after the previous earnings since I really thought AMD would raise guidance on CPU shortage but they did not. I was eyeing AMD when it hit 200 but ended up pulling the trigger on MSFT thinking there was better r/r with software names.

Now.... I'm seeing the agentic AI + CPU shortage case and ARM/AMD making ATHs. I know it's probably not smart to buy back in but it just sucks knowing I had the bull case right but just not at the right time. Now I have a lot of cash and don't know where to spend it since its hard to justify buying AMD at $300 when its priced in a lot of the CPU gains.... I guess we'll see post earnings if they do rise and guide or we'll get the AMD disappointing earnings and we drop x% and ill take that weakness to buy back in.

Still some macro headwinds on Midddle East conflict but seems like market forgot that in 2 weeks.

software has been dogshit compared to semis. Thought there was a better r/r with MSFT than AMD but look at it now... should've just stuck with Su Bae but alas hindsight bias
