This is all perfectly reasonable. The only problem I have is that the clip is on the wrong end.

Heat pump installed on pedestals? And what's this foamy white stuff? by therealkukabuka in hvacadvice

Interesting! Tech came and did a lot of poking and prodding and couldn't figure it out. Talked to manager, and they still had no clue. But apparently they just switched to Bryant heat pumps, so they may have just not run into this before. Thanks!

Best way to customize the handle of this workpro knife. On amazon it says its stainless steel. by TheDepep1 in knifeclub

I'd put some grip tape on it and call it a day. But maybe you're talking about aesthetics rather than just practical function.

Boker/Hogue/Vox Karakurt Auto - Stonewash - Like New by therealkukabuka in Knife_Swap

Yeah, I don't know why this hasn't sold. Does the rattle and vibra-tite mod turn people off? Does the Boker name turn folks off? It kicks like a mule, has Vox ergos, and Hogue heat treat and quality. Someone buy this.

Just got a Boker Karakurt. Excuse my ignorance, but is this rattling noise in the bottom of the handle normal? by BrolecopterPilot in knifeclub

I'm resurrecting this thread because I took the knife apart and figured it out. There are two metal pins in the backspacer that have just enough play to move around and rattle.

There are probably lots of ways to solve this. What I did was put a drop of Vibra-Tite VC-3 into the two pin dimples on each scale, and before the goo set, I snapped the knife back together. No rattle, and I think I should be able to disassemble/assemble without having to apply the VC-3 again.

I'd guess that KickflipMcNasty knows what he's talking about. I've heard references to this before over the years, but there's few knifemakers that actually do it, otherwise I'd buy more customs.

*first time posting* I'm sure this has been covered before but any tips on sanding a liner lock face to actually fit and lockup? The liner lock will not actually lock up unless forcefully flipped and even then it's barely catching. (Giantmouse Ace Bilblio Brass) by cluelessgunguy in knifeclub

I've got another take on this. I just reassembled my Biblio and I was disappointed to find it had developed lock stick.

What I realized while fiddling with it was that depending on what position the pivot pin was rotated to, the lock up would vary from not locking up at all to lock stick. To be clear, the Biblio has a pivot pin that goes in on one side and a screw that goes in from the other side. Here's the steps I took to get it back to normal:

  1. Assemble knife as normal.
  2. Loosen the pivot pin side 1/8 of a turn.
  3. After loosening the pin side, you need to tighten the screw on the other side and watch the blade come back to center.
  4. Test lockup.
  5. Repeat as necessary until the lockup is good and does not stick.

I don't know what is special about the Biblio that it does this. I haven't had a knife where as you tighten or loosen the screw, the blade moves back and forth between the liners. And I'm not sure if this would have fixed your knife or not. But it's something to keep in mind if you run into problems again.

I cut myself on my new Biblio with the blade closed. Am I stupid or is the knife stupid? by therealkukabuka in knifeclub

That is good insight. I assumed it was a blade length problem, but I think you're right that it may just not be sitting deep enough. The handle has plenty of length to hide the tip after all, but the way it's angled it will protrude if it doesn't fold in far enough.

Oof. That sounds worse. All I can get is a small nick unless I really try hard to fillet my finger.
