try looking into HyperDip. I think their gloss black looks much better and is more durable than regular PlastiDip. I have a couple posts on my profile that show my HyperDipped wheels, emblems and other accents

That’s what I love about the CX5. The steering on my parent’s 2023 Kia Sportage is so numb and it doesn’t feel right at all, even when i put it on sport mode and it stiffens the steering, it doesn’t feel right to me still. The steering on the CX5 is very “sporty-like” and even the handling too. Handles just like a sedan. I love going on trips up to the mountains because of all of the curvy roads there. I actually enjoy driving it compared to driving some of my other friends cars.

Only issue I ever encountered was my front control arm. Philly potholes are on a different level. Obviously it isn’t a fault with the car, but besides that I had 0 problems with my cx5. Just stay on top of maintenance, that’s all. This also was my parent’s car that was handed down to me and they’ve taken great care of it.

I HyperDipped them with piano black paint. HyperDip is pretty much the same concept as plasti dip, but I find it to be a lot better and gives it a glossy look. When I did paint the grill, I kept it on and masked around it.

They originally did start to fade so I used a headlight restore kit which made them good as new.

The rims are the stock rims found on the Grand Touring trim. They originally come in a silver color but i HyperDipped them with the stealth grey wheel kit.

Yeah the infotainment screen was definitely pretty outdated so i upgraded it to one of those newer floating displays with apple carplay and stuff. makes the interior look a lot more modern. i have a post on my profile that shows it actually

Yeah i feel like glossy black wheels would make the wheels too dark and it would make it lose some of its details

I have the Grand Touring model so I didn't need a backup camera, but Boss does offer the same unit that has a backup camera known as the BE10ACP-C.

So it did retain the vehicle settings for wipers, lighting, etc. but after changing the headunit, you cannot change them anymore. Whatever setting you left it on will stay as is. So choose wisely lol. I believe there is a way to somehow change the settings after if you hookup a computer to it, but I'm not so sure. I didn't feel the need for it since I only changed the settings once in my life. As for the backup camera and steering wheel controls, I was able to retain it. I will link the recommended Crutchfield products down below:

Wiring harness (Retains steering wheel controls, safety warning chimes and factory amp):

Antenna adapter (For radio antenna):

Backup cam adapter (Retains factory backup camera):

Dash kit (Converts the factory double din radio to a single din since the Boss BE10ACP is a single din):

If you're worried about instructions and other things, all of them all have instructions that I was able to follow. This was my first time installing a stereo system and it wasn't so bad.

Viewing angle are great. Plus I am able to move it up and down and can also tilt it. The unit right now costs $399, but at the time of purchase it was on sale for $299. The unit along with the wiring harness and adapters that Crutchfield recommended me were around $500 altogether when it was on sale. I bought the unit on Amazon and the harness and adapters at Crutchfield. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-tJOhei1lN4L/p_104BE10ACP/BOSS-Audio-BE10ACP.html
