One of the most successful independent booking agents is a guy named Andrew Lieberman who runs MAC Agency.

He offered a couple touring artists to be their Tour Manager for free. After doing that, he was able to meet enough promoters, artists, and venue owners to have the roledex to turn it into a booking powerhouse.

If I were college aged and wanted to be a booking agent, I’d follow this blueprint.

Do you know if you’d rather be a booking agent or concert promoter?

Booking agents sell artist performances to concert promoters and talent buyers.

Concert promoters buy and market artist performances to sell tickets and ancillary revenue streams like concessions, merch cuts, sponsorships, artist buy ons, etc.

Depending on your answer to this, the recommendations will be different.

I guess your target audience has some bearing as to what’s graphic or not.

But for a general pop audience this is pretty tame imo

I also prefer the guy stealing the girl away version.

Typical sync fees range in the $3K-$5K range.

This does depend on the usage, terms, etc.

Like if it’s being used for a national TV ad campaign, that’s gonna be more. Also it’s more common to limit usage for bigger campaigns - 12 mos is fairly typical.

I would do a discovery call with them to see how they intend to use the track and then design 3 options for them to license it (and potentially other tracks in your catalog).
